What a great recording! Kristin really swings (on bass) AND sings on this CD. Great arrangements, slick tunes. Drummer Jeff Hamilton and pianist Mike Wofford really compliment her style. She one of the brightest stars on the jazz scene today and this recording is a testament as to the reason why. Check out this recording!

I heard Kristin Korb in a trio with her brother on drums and Gerald Clayton on piano and was blown away. I immediately bought the CD and have recommended it to several friends already. Kristin's bass interpretation and vocals are solid and energetic; anyone who can hold her own with the likes of Jeff Hamilton and Mike Wofford definitely deserves attention. The standards do not disappoint, and her original tunes are innovative and fun (especially the title track). She obviously loves what she does, and you can tell throughout this CD, which is a great addition to any jazz collection.

Yet Another Amazing Album!,

I saw Kristin this last weekend and she was amazing. My friend got me this great CD from her for my birthday. (Signed, of course!) Kristin Korb shows off her own personal flair this time around, with a few of her own compositions and all-original arrangements of some great standards. Her bass work on "The Man I Love" is really fun. The first song, How About You, has to be my personal favorite, with a lot of swingin' piano work by Mike Wofford. I also really liked the last ballad, Darn That Dream. It nearly brought me to tears with its heartfelt sincerity. If you love Ray Brown and/or Ella Fitzgerald, this would be an excellent and classy addition to your collection.
