I was ready to buy it... but no way I'm gonna haul around a 1000 page Stephenson epic on the CTA. Any idea?

Good question! I'm glad I got mine before they took it away.

I wonder if it has formatting issues and needs work. I just ran across a sentence in the Kindle edition that doesn't make any sense: "Details of history that Geraldine and herm it was like a dog whistle." I see by using Amazon's "look inside" feature that a chunk of text is missing in the middle of that sentence. Hopefully there aren't a lot of those.

UPDATE: I got an email from Amazon today (9/29/11) saying my copy of the Kindle version has missing content and they have a new version available. Presumably they'll soon make that available for sale as well.
