I wish I had pre-ordered. Shadow is one of my faves as well, besides Rebecca. I didn't want to shell out the bucks either on the big set when I only wanted like 3 or 4. What's worse is this weeks EW, it mentions Shadow and how it is newly available on Blu-ray. Stings all the more. I've e-mailed a few dvd sites to inquire as to what the deal is. If you find out, reply to this and I will do the same if I find anything out.
Thanks. I echo your wish that I had pre-orded, too. It just came out in early May. I had it on my WishList and figured I would pick it up this fall sometime. I can't believe it is totally out. Just strange. I DID find one seller on eBay last week and had 2 copies for sale, each for $30. So, I quickly ordered one. The very next day I get an email from the seller saying that they don't actually have any in and that they aren't sure when they will (or even IF they will). They offered to cancel my order and I did. Since then, the seller has taken it off the site.
One site I frequent is Bluray.com... but I can't even find any discussion about this on their forums. And it won't allow me to post any new discussion because of some strange rule they have. I can read all I want, just can't post. So, definitely, if I find some somewhere, will definitely let you know, and vice-versa would be appreciated.
Sufffice to say, I ordered Rope right on June 3 the day before it was scheduled to come out. And it's been shipped. I also plan to pick up The Trouble with Harry quickly in July and The Man Who Knew Too Much in August. Not messing around with these. Learned my lesson!
At the bottom of the news article, there is a giant yellow "BUY NOW" button. When you press it, however, it goes directly to the same Shadow of a Doubt Amazon order pay (where it still currently says it is out of stock and may not be back).
