This review is from: Where the Wasteland Ends (Paperback)
This book is a treasure and I am surprised it is not very well known. Roszak weaves together a beautiful blend of philosophy, environmentalism, spirituality, and art to create an alternative vision that discredits the over-reliance on the Western paradigm that worships science and capitalism. The introduction is written in a fluid poetic style and it immediately captured me. I recommend this book to anyone who feels alientated by capitalism, materialism, and over consumption. It is an excellent companion book to Herbert Marcuse's "One Dimensional Man"
