Mojo Raves On,
By
This review is from: Whereabouts Unknown (Audio CD)
This is a reissue of the original Whereabout Unknown cd - if you're a mojo fan, buy the 1995 release, not this one. This one is just not as good. The 2 cds have some overlap, some songs are missing. If you want to experience Mojo, buy Root Hog Or Die, his Christmas cd, Frenzy, or some of the other earlier ones. If you're a true mojohead, buy this one for the Amazing Grace tribute called "I Will Not Die" - I listened to this for years before I realized he ripped off Amazing Grace. And buy Gadzooks - what a great overview of his career, plus a lot of stuff you just can't find anywhere else.
Some of the Mojo Nixon has been reissued with different tracks under the same name - make sure you check the track listing before you buy to make sure you get the songs you want. Better yet, buy a USB turntable and then the vinyl - it's cheaper!

A friend of mine looks just like Mojo so I bought the album for him. As it turns out the guy aint half bad. Mojo has a great sense of humor and you can figure out by looking at the titles to know what I mean. Definitely recommend to those who are not easily offended. Not for mixed company or children.

I'm confused. Mojo had an album called whereabout unknown come out like eight years ago. So? Whats the deal with the old/new album title and the old new album art. As mojo would say, "sumpin' ain't right". The reviewer also refers to the album by the old title. Somebody...some true mojo fan write me and let me know what is up. Also if you know of a good spot for Mojo news on the web send me that info as well! Thanks a heap. Mojo rules by the way. As does DASH RIP ROCK - the band mentioned by the previous reviewer. If you haven't heard them you're really missing out. Check out their newwest album "Paydirt". I promise you won't be disappointed!
