From School Library Journal
PreS-Alfie, a small bear, is reassured by his mother during a walk in which they pass by a hungry crocodile, a dangerous jackal, and a tiger. Even the most timid child will find the illustrations to be colorful and endearing. In the second book, done in the style of Eric Hill's classic Where's Spot (Putnam, 1980), Alfie hides from his mother when it's time for bed. He is finally discovered and gives her a kiss before going to sleep. It's another charmer. Both of these pull-the-tab novelty books would be welcome additions to preschool collections.-Jennifer J.
