This review is from: Where's Nancy? (Nancy Drew: Girl Detective Super Mystery #1) (Paperback)
I liked this book fairly well. The actual mystery was kinda dumb... But it was good to hear about George and Bess for a change. I really don't get why people have been dumping on this book so much. Its not the best book ever, but its readable!!!

Great book,

I loved this book! But it was the most predictable title of Nancy Drew. I mean that, the author should have choose George or Bess instead. Or Ned.
Other than that it was good. It proves that George and Bess suck at solving Mysteries by themselves!

This book is so boring, the characters seem to not even know what's going on. They don't have a clue about anything, until the last chapter. This book was so hard to read because it was so boring. Sorry I'm being so harsh, but I have to recommend for people not to read this book!

I really don't see how people think this book is awful, but people have different opinions. Anyways, this book was a good one. It leaves you suspensed. Some people might not think that but I loved this book!

horrible book,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Where's Nancy? (Nancy Drew: Girl Detective Super Mystery #1) (Paperback)
This book is a horrible book! I was trying to solve the mystery of her disappearance, reading through 167 dull pages with little story. She was not kidnapped, as I thought she was. It turns out she was just locked in a pantry. What a non-story! What a boring and disappointing book. The story was very slow, and the characters knew nothing until the last couple pages. Don't buy this horrible book!!!!

NANCY DREW what has become of you?,
This review is from: Where's Nancy? (Nancy Drew: Girl Detective Super Mystery #1) (Paperback)
Nancy Drew this is NOT. If you are a fan of the old series, the Files Series, even the the Notebook series, you will really hate this new incarnation. Never have I seen a publisher try as hard to alienate fans and try to disolve a classic children's series as they have with this new detective they call Nancy Drew. Where is our girl sleuth? Well, in this version she is forgetful, annoying, childish, and lacks direction, focus and intelligence. Her relationship with her father has become somewhat trivial. Her housekeeper is on the verge of senility. Her best friends, Bess Marvin (now a mechanic) and George Fayne (now a computer geek) have totally changed focus and drive. And Ned, her constant steady, is only a brief mention. I am appalled and disappointed in the first 15 books of this series and have found no redeming value to it as a work of fiction let alone as a sorce for the continuation of this much loved series. If this is how the publishers wish the direction of Nancy Drew to proceed in the future I would say to them 'stop the series' and let the past editions stand on their merit without tarnishing its reputation as a hallmark in series books. This is not what Edward Stratemeyer and his family envisioned Nancy Drew to become. I am disappointed beyond belief.
