I just spent approximately 30 minutes working my way through this book, finding Waldo in each of his 12 locations. This is an example of good clean fun and an excellent check of your visual acuity and spatial sense. I also noticed that in the later scenes, Waldo starts to lose some of his possessions. In the last scene, he no longer has his cap, cane, cup and other tools. It has been proven in several different ways that the mind is like any other physical muscle, if it is challenged, it stays strong. Given those conditions, the searches needed to find Waldo that are in this book qualify as exercises to sharpen your brain.

The idea of the enclosed mini magnifier was good but to no avail. The images were too small and the ink was not clear. I bought it for a child, but when I could not see Waldo clearly, I knew that it would be impossible for a child. If you want to find Waldo buy the larger edition.

I love Waldo books. It really helps teach my godson focus and let's us spend some time together. With everything there is on each page to look at, I can spend an hour with him easy and he doesn't even notice that he went without a video game or the tv for an hour (or more)! Also, we went to our favorite zoo the other day and he notices so much more. We have 4 of the six Waldo books. He's already put book 5 on his wish list.

One of the easiest Waldo's ever. A lot of open spaces and Waldo doesn't hide like in other books he's just out in the open standing in the same pose throughout the book. Good artwork and settings, just not very tough.

I work in an elementary school and I purchased this book for my students. Surprisingly enough, students from age 5 to 11 really enjoy finding Waldo and I've had lot of requests from students in terms of borrowing the book. I paid less than $5 on Amazon, but believe me, I would have paid triple that because of the enjoyment that my students get from the book. It's larger than a typical book and the pages are pretty colorful and engaging. I would definitely recommend this book to other professionals working in schools and parents.

I did not realize this book was only about 3 x 5 inches. It's my fault because I did not notice that this was the mini edition. It does come with a cool magnify glass.

my girls loved the book and want me to purchase more. they enjoyed the hunt. was happy that they were happy with the book.

I gave this to my grand niece (actually I am too young for a grand niece). It is too small for older eyes but perfect for children...a great take away book and does not need adult interaction.

Today I found my first-edition "Where's Waldo" book. As I was looking through it and reading the captions that Waldo says throughout the book, it brought bck wonderful memories of my childhood.

My mom got me the first Waldo book when it first came out in 1987. She saw how much I enjoyed the book, and that I was really pouring over the pages looking for the elusive traveler, and his items in each scene, that she bought the second Where's Waldo book "Where's Waldo Now" the following year. I loved that book right away, too!

The differences between the first and second edition of Where's Waldo is somewhat numerous. First off Waldo's appearance is better drawn than he was on and in the first edition, his position has changed in each scene, new characters have been added, some of the words and things to search for have been cut-out or altered. It took me awhile to get use to the changes, but after awhile I have grown to love the updated second edition of Where's Waldo book, just as much as the first edition.

The first scene you have to spot Waldo and the newly added characters and items in is "In Town" where you find a "Happy Barber"(in the first edition he is called a "Keen Barber.") who is cutting men's heads bald,a man with goggles and a snorkel on a fountain, a man coming out of a man-hole, a waiter who isn't paying attention and so much more. From there you go to the beach which has an overdressed man wearing a winter time outfit, a cowboy, a human being stepped on, a boy who isn't allowed any ice-cream and so much more. There are several more places that Waldo explores, so go ahead and purchase this and see if you can find him there. This book and all the rest of the Waldo books will keep you hooked and looking for him hours on end. You will become a Waldo fanatic like I have been these pass twenty-three years.

Who doesn't love these books? We love Waldo! Entertaining, not super easy like some seek and find books. Perfect for my 7 year old and I.
