Where's Waldo? The Ultimate Travel Collection

This is a different sort of Waldo book. First and foremost, it's small, about the size of a kid's chapter book. The cover is semi-rigid and there is an elastic band to hold it closed (a nice touch). It is not one but several books put together. I do not believe there is any new Waldo material here; it's a compilation of five previously released Waldo books, Where's Waldo?, Where's Waldo Now?, Where's Waldo? The Fantastic Journey, Where's Waldo? The Wonder Book, and Where's Waldo? In Hollywood. So if you already own or have read those books, you might be disappointed. The small size of the book means the already small details have become TINY. Nothing has been cut out of the illustrations; they've just been shrunk from oversized book sized to small book size. Woof's tail is especially hard to find.

Any Waldo book can keep you busy for hours; this is five Waldo books in one so the bang for your buck is great. The small size might be a problem for the very young or older people who's eyesight is failing, but the same small size makes it a book that can be easily tucked into Mom's purse and brought along on errands to occupy a kid while waiting for appointments, etc.

My 5 year old can spend up to an hour with this book, totally engaged. I got him a funny looking magifying glass to make the search a little more interesging. I do recommend having a magnifying glass for this book since the pictures are very very tiny. I love the elastic band, which is a nice touch. Highly recommended for any outings that require waiting.

I bought this book for an upcoming trip for my 4 year old. He saw a Waldo book in Target and loved it. This book is very cute and excellent for travel and would be great if you have time to sit and do it with your little one, but as the other reviews stated, the print is so small I could not find Waldo on any of them. A mature 8 year old may enjoy this more than a 4 year old. I plan on keeping it because it is cute and also has a great wrap to the book but I probably cannot use this right now for my 4 year old.

I was a kid when these books first came out and I really enjoyed them, but never owned one. This book is a great compliation of exactly what I remembered. I don't know about it being an Ultimate Travel Collection, I think its no different than the regular Waldo books just perhaps a bit smaller. Nor do I think I would be trying to ride in a car and search for the illusive man as I think I would get sick to my stomach. But nonetheless, its a cool book and exactly what I was anticipating.

I bought this along with "1001 Pirate things to Spot", for my eight year old nephew who I had never met. My sons, now 20 and 24, loved "Wheres Waldo" and we always kept some in the car to keep them busy. This was a great travel size, a little small for me to find things but no problem for him.

If you enjoyed the bigger books of wheres waldo you'll won't to get this book then, because it's got them all combined into one. Another fun thing about this book is that it's a little harder to find things since one page is probably a forth of the original books.

We love the Where's Waldo books. I seen the Ultimate Travel Collection in a bookstore, but was able to find it on amazon much cheaper. Our kids, ages 3 & 8, both love finding Waldo. It doesn't matter how many times you look through the book, you never seem to remember where he's at! This Ultimate Travel Collection book is great. It has so many different pages to find him on. I love that it's spiral bound, too. I just know this will become a favorite!

I purchased this book for my 4 year old grand-daughter. It helps with concentration, memory, focus and just plain old fun. Her parents enjoy it with her. This edition is great for in the car.

This is different than I had thought it was going to be, smaller, guess I didn't pay attention to the dimensions. But it is packed. As others have said, it's small, and there is the elastic band to help hold it closed. Well sized for travel though, easy to take on a car ride where they can work on it from their car seat without having an oversized hardcover book to maneuver.

How can you beat a collection of Waldo. Hours of fun ; very hard to put down.
