5.0 out of 5 stars Best One Volume Over-view of Wilber Available
Mr. Reynolds book is perfect for both readers approaching Wilbers work for the first time and for those more familiar with integral theory who are looking for a masterful, concise one volume review.

I, too, thought about buying Wilber's "A Brief History of Everything" for my friends unfamiliar with Wilber's work. However, after reading Reynolds' "Where's...

I don't dislike it, and wouldn't recommend against reading it. The information is good, but it absolutly needed major re-editing. My problem with the book is, if I didn't already read a Brief History of Everything, this book would have been unreadable. If you are totally unfamiliar with Ken Wilber's work, get that. If you sort of know what it is, or want to read more,...

This review is from: Where's Wilber At?: Ken Wilber's Integral Vision in the New Millennium (Paperback)

However, after reading Reynolds' "Where's Wilber At?" I decided to go with it due to the fact that it included an abundance of information on Wilber's "Phase V" period. "A Brief History" is 'old news' in the integral world (A Phase IV work). Plus Reynolds' book supplies a lot of valuable information (i.e. internet resources, info on Wilber's think tank Integral Institute, etc.) that is perfectly designed for aiding a new reader in the beginnings of their integral journey.

In short, I greatly enjoyed Mr. Reynolds' book and look forward to reading more of his work in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars Recommended reading for students of New Age Spirituality and metaphysical philosophy, August 6, 2006
This review is from: Where's Wilber At?: Ken Wilber's Integral Vision in the New Millennium (Paperback)
The "Wilber" in question is Ken Wilber, a philosopher and metaphysical theorist whose "Theory of Everything" incorporates a vast range of disciplines and research and whose "Integral Vision" is defined as being an "all-quadrant, all-level" approach to studying the integration of the body, mind, soul, and spirit wit self, culture and nature. Where's Wilber At?: Ken Wilber's Integral Vision In The New Millennium by Brad Reynolds lays out the basic essentials philosophy students and non-specialist general readers will need to follow Wilber's continual theoretical expansion and their pragmatic application, Wilber's current public outreach, his complex metatheory, and how this integral approach is capable of uniting modern science with ancient mysticism. Where's Wilber At? is especially recommended reading for students of New Age Spirituality and metaphysical philosophy.
