This is one super album -- great music, great arrangements!,

This review is from: Wherever I Go (Audio CD)
Singing, writing or playing his guitar, Bob Amos is bringing a wonderful "one part talent and two parts sweat" to delighted listeners. This, his first solo project, is an eclectic mix of songs and it is great! The song "Wherever I Go" (title song) ranks right up there as one of the best romantic songs this reviewer has ever heard. There is romance, as Bob's many fans have come to expect from him, pure poetry, and deep personal insight into the human condition in these lovely songs. There is hard-driving bluegrass type edge in the selection "I'm Back" to a rock-type beat in "Say What You Mean". The great thing is, everything works just fine. Bob uses guitar and bass on the only instrumental on the album with exactly the right balance, and the humor in "I Know Where You Live" is a pretty tricky turn-around within the song. The minor adjustment to the album I'd like to see is that the "Baby's Got the Blues" should have a much more "smoke, booze, broads & brawlin'" sound to the voice than Bob has. Also, I have a recording of his earlier version of "Still Set on You" and I like that version better than the one on this CD. That said, this is an auspicious debut solo album. Love it -- and I hope Bob Amos will be granting the wishes of his many fans and give us much more of the same!

An Album for all!!,
This review is from: Wherever I Go (Audio CD)
This album is excellent! My husband and I listen to a variety of music, and this is now one of our favorites. It's great for evenings on the patio, dinner parties, cleaning house, cutting the grass, or just driving in your car. I love all the songs, but my current favorites are: The Fields of Home, Mr. Beford's Barn, and I Know Where You Live!
Has Brad Paisley heard this album?? They would be a great duet!

A deep breath of fresh country air!,

Bob Amos gives us a deep breath of fresh country air as he weaves his (and our) life experiences, places and beliefs into tunes you can't get out of your head and lyrics you can't get out of your heart. I first heard Bob and his band, Front Range this year on the Fourth of July at the annual Bluegrass Festival at Bayse, Virginia. A hundred and three degrees and an audience oblivious to the heat, riveted by the bluegrass, folk, country and Irish shanty mix of songs and instrumentals. Their songs rendered heartfelt emotion and bedrock beliefs with flawless technical execution and wonderful audience rapport. I had to wait in line ten minutes to get this CD.
