Book Description

0944355242 978-0944355244 August 1997
Originally published in 1970 by Grand Rapids International Publications, this book is now in its 13th printing and currently is published by the Institute for Biblical Textual Studies (IBTS). "Which Bible?" is now one of three of a trilogy of edited works by Dr. David Otis Fuller, Sr. in defense of the King James Version of the Bible. "True or False" and "Counterfeit or Genuine" were published as sequels.

"Which Bible?" asks the question regarding the over 100 contemporary English bibles and translations, which is the most accurate, most trustworthy, most literary, most time honored bible of every generation for the past nearly 4 Centuries? Dr. Fuller excerpts extensive articles by over 11 writers to answer the question affirmatively in favor of the historic King James Version.

Fuller's collection of academic, yet easily understood essays and excerpts provides us with Biblical and historic reason and logic. It affirms the position that translation is not an inherent boundary to verbal preservation. The breath of God, product and not process, conveyed by translation from the immediately inspired language copies of Scripture into any providentially prepared receptor language will impart to that translation infallible authority and doctrinally inerrancy inherent in the original language copies. A tremendously useful book for the thinking Christian.

5.0 out of 5 stars Which Bible Is The True Word Of God?, November 21, 1999
By
Daniel A. Bufkin (Mandeville, Louisiana) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Which Bible? (5th Edition) (Paperback)
I have been a Bible Student for some 35 years. After reading Dr. Fullers' book: "Which Bible?", I was glad that my Bible of choice has been the Authorized King James Version since my youth. Dr. Fuller, acting as Editor, has put together a marvelous exposition of Historical and Spiritual Truth relating to our Holy Bible. The information in the pages of this book isn't common knowledge among christians, even though it should be. Nothing is more important than Gods Word and with the factual and historical information given to us by Dr. Fuller, we can read our KJV Bibles with confidence, knowing that the same God who Inspired the Word, is able to Preserve the Word to all generations. I recommend this book to all students of Gods Word. It is without a doubt the best souce available for all those who are honestly seeking the truth on this subject. (dbufkin@rocketmail.com)

5.0 out of 5 stars The authenticity of the King James Bible, October 17, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Which Bible? (5th Edition) (Paperback)
This book provides an exhaustive review of where and how the King James (KJV) Bible came into being. It reviews the manuscripts (the Received Text) from which the KJV originated. Also Fuller exposes and compares the Received Text with the Westscott-Hort Text. Biblical proofs and apologetics are examined concerning the KJV.

It is perhaps the best book that I have read concerning the topic of which bible should I use for my spiritual guidance. The information is very informative and rewarding to the bible student.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quite valuable., June 7, 1998
This review is from: Which Bible? (5th Edition) (Paperback)
The reproduction of the work, "Our Authorized Bible Vindicated" by Benjamin Wilkensen is the most prized aspect of this book, though the articles by Edward F. Hills and Hoskier are informative as well. Get a hold of it, and keep your King James Bible, too.
