This cd is not a reissue of the Poppy Family's first album. It is a compilation that features seven Poppy Family songs plus solo songs by Terry Jacks and Susan Jacks. Until someone rereleases the Poppy Family's first album, you'd be better off buying the compilation "A Good Thing Lost: 1968-1973", which has ten of the first album's twelve cuts.
Here's a track listing for this compilation: 1. BEYOND THE CLOUDS -Poppy Family 2. WHAT CAN THE MATTER BE -Poppy Family 3. WHICH WAY YOU GOIN' BILLY -Poppy Family 4. THAT'S WHERE I WENT WRONG -Poppy Family 5. I'M GONNA CAPTURE YOU -Terry Jacks 6. WHERE EVIL GROWS -Poppy Family 7. NO GOOD TO CRY -Poppy Family 8. GOOD FRIENDS -Poppy Family 9. CONCRETE SEA -Terry Jacks 10. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT LOVE IS -Susan Jacks 11. I'M GONNA LOVE YOU TOO -Terry Jacks 12. SEASONS IN THE SUN -Terry Jacks 13. I THOUGHT OF YOU AGAIN -Susan Jacks 14. CAUSE WE'RE IN LOVE -The Hood 15. IF YOU GO AWAY -Terry Jacks 16. ROCK AND ROLL (I Gave You The Best Years Of My Life) Terry Jacks 17. CHRISTINA -Terry Jacks 18. HOLLY -Terry Jacks 19. ANNA MARIE -Susan Jacks 20. YOU DON'T FIGHT THE SEA -Terry Jacks 21. GHOSTS IN YOUR MIND -Terry Jacks 22. HEY COUNTRY GIRL -Terry Jacks 23. TWICE AS STRONG -Susan Jacks 24. EVERGREEN -Susan Jacks 25. FOREVER -Susan Jacks

I bought this CD many years ago, as an import. This compilation has selected tracks from the 'Poppy Family Album Which way you going Billy' and solo hits/songs from both Terry Jacks/Susan Jacks. It should have had a sub-title 'The Best of/Greatest Hits, which is exactly what this CD compilation is. AND WOW, what a great sound quality that differs from recent releases.
This contains the STEREO issue of Terry Jacks' hit 'If you go away' as well as 'Rock N' Roll'. They appear in MONO as bonus tracks on Terry Jacks re-issued Album CD 'Seasons In The Sun'. Interestingly as far as I know the song 'If you go away' is not available in STEREO on any other 1970s (Various Artists) or Terry Jacks CD. If you like Terry Jacks song 'Seasons In The Sun' you will enjoy this collection of 25 songs. Highly recommended.

This should be a very interesting reissue considering that this Cd version features 25 tracks, compared to the dozen or so that appeared on their original vinyl Lp version featuring the exact cover. POPPY FAMILY only recorded various singles and two albums, the other being "POPPY SEEDS". AMAZON.COM should do their customers a real service and provide a complete track listing here for fans of Susan and Terry Jacks aka THE POPPY FAMILY. Their three U.S. hits were the #2 smash hit single, "WHICH WAY YOU GOIN' BILLY?"[1970] and Top 30 followups "That's Where I Went Wrong" and the "Where Evil Grows". Susan Jacks, lead singer of POPPY FAMILY was married to Terry Jacks for a few years during the band's early 70's hit era and she went on to record a few more albums as a solo artist well into the 1980's; she moved to and has been living in Nashville with her family since the early 80's as a songwriter and 'demo' recording singer. Terry Jacks, as many folks will recall, recorded a version of "SEASONS IN THE SUN", which became an phenomenal international #1 multi-million selling monster hit single in 1974 and soon faded from view, though he continued to record his music. Both enjoyed varied success as solo artists in their native Canada for a few years after dissolving the Poppy Family. A great compilation of the POPPY FAMILY's recording career is "A GOOD THING LOST: 1968-73" cd, which includes many of their singles and noted Lp tracks.
