5.0 out of 5 stars Great europop if i ever heard it!, June 6, 2000
By
This review is from: II (Audio CD)
This is European music the way it SHOULD be done, if you just want plain pop, you have 'Givin all my love', 'Baby boy' and 'What we've done for love'. If you're aiming for something a little stronger try the (club music ALERT) 'No tears to cry' or the FANTASTIC 'Lover' which was obviously invented to force music lovers onto the dancefloor, noeone to be spared. And then for the people who just want simple Whigfield 'Gimme gimme' (i sense a slight hint of 'Think of you) or the ever so slightly repetitive 'Whiggy wiggle' which is a srong contender for the cheesiest song of all time! Once again, she's also added a ballad 'Tenderly', which although does not instantly hit you like 'Close to you', is still well worth a listen. Definelty buy this album if you want something (decent!) to dance to. If you like this try 'Gina G, Corona, Vengaboys, Eiffel 65 or Livin Joy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Whiggy Wiggle to this!!, February 1, 2001
This review is from: II (Audio CD)
Whigfield 2nd album surely will not dissapoint any pop fan. It is just as good as her 1st and 3rd album! Givin all my love is a very catchy, sweet poppy song and one of Whigfield's best songs, it will never fail to stick in your head! No tears to cry is a very clubby, positive dance hit, a big fave with Whiggy fans and will leave you humming for days! Baby boy is a typical Whigfield, happy go lucky tune, with a lovely Latin feel, i always find myself wondering why im smiling so much after i've listened to it! Tenderly is a lovely slowish love song, its totally adorable and her stunning voice stands out more than ever in this! What we've done for love is an r'n'b style dance song, its different to Whigfield's usual music style and very classy! Then comes LOVER!!! It is probably the best song on the album, it has a sort of Latin/Euro/dance/bubblegum pop feel, what im trying to say is that its a mixture of music styles and i dont think you can put it into a certain category, except 'dangerously catchy' lol. Oh well, you just have to hear it for yourself. Then the funky Gimme Gimme, which sounds a bir like Think of you. Of course it is one of the albums best songs and the 'nananananana nananananaaaa' part ALWAYS gets me singing along! Oh and then Whiggy wiggle, now this is definetly a song you either love or hate, it is soooo darn cheesy, lol but that's not a bad thing! You can hardly expect 'bababababa bababababa you sing beeby doo' or 'hey whiggy wiggle stay in the middle' to appeal to everyone, but its a really groovy choon!! Forever on my mind is another funky song, it kind of reminds me of another song, but i cant think of it darnit!! And Through the night is definetly a different style for Whiggy, it is a dark club/garage song, i like it as one of my favourites! Finishing off with another Latin song 'Summer samba' which is a brilliant typical Whiggy song, and now you wish the album didnt end so soon! But at least we have the remixes and LAST CHRISTMAS!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Whigfield is great!, January 2, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Whigfield II (Audio CD)
This album includes a lot of great tracks, and even some remixes of her old hits, like for example "Saturday night".The best tracks on this album is "Givin' all my love","Baby boy",Whiggy wiggle" and "Summer samba"-a hot song with samba/calypso-style. It's an album you can listen to over and over again.

5.0 out of 5 stars whiggy ROOOOOLLLSS!, May 16, 2000
This review is from: II (Audio CD)
I bought this album not so long ago and it is by far the best pop album in my collection. Her first album was really good but some of the songs on here have a different edge. My personal favourite was the first song and 'Lover'. 'Whiggy wiggle' is by far the cheesiest song you'll have ever heard, but that's why we love Whiggy! The only thing you may not appreciate on this album is the Rick's remix which in my opinion is just a sampler of the first album with added 'deedadadaa!'in every space possible. You will love this album if you've ever bought a song from 'Gina G', 'Vengaboys' or 'Aqua'. If you love heavy rock or classical music, then steer well away otherwise you will have pulled all your hair out by the time the album's finished Otherwise do not hesitate to get it! PUCKER OR WHAT?

...this album is pure Euro-dance gold, Whigfield has always had this great sound to her, her production team really shines on Whigfield 2,fun, dancy, great sounding music all around. Pick this CD up along with Whigfield 1 and Whigfield 3 for the complete trilogy. A defenite must buy for dance music fans old and new!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars It's Typical Whiggy!, June 2, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: II (Audio CD)
Whigfield II is typical Whigfield music. It's catchy, corney, but one of the best albums around! If you call yourself a dance music fan you have to pick this album up. It's better then Whigfield's first album, because there is more of a variety. Tenderly, and What We've Done For Love are great balads. Then you get to hear some regular Whigfield dance tunes such as No Tears To Cry, Gimme Gimme and the #1 Whigfield track of all time Lover. Maybe she should of left Saturday Night alone, but other then that Whigfield II is and forever will be a dance classic.

this album is quite good but what lets it down is that it gets old quickly. some of the best songs are givin all my love, what we've done for love and tenderly. i wish this album had more tracks and less remixes!!
it is worth it's money tho, a good buy!
