complete crap, don't even waste your money!,

This review is from: Whimsical Blue Crab Tiki Bar Dining Fan Light Pull Chain
I am so disappointed in this. It is complete crap. As soon as I took this adorable, brightly colored cool little crab out of the bag, a claw broke off. I was sad, but nonetheless hung her up for the time being until at some future never-going-to-happen point in time I may want to superglue her claw back on. Later that very same day, I tugged on Mizzes Crab hoping to be flooded with the light from the ceiling fan. Unfortunately, the gentle pressure of tugging on her was just too much and the chain snapped right out of Mizzes Crab belly :-( Much to my relief the flying chain did not snap all the way up to be snarled up in the moving ceiling fan which would have spelled complete disaster for the fan. I stood there, holding my treasured little crab in my hand, in complete disbelief that she did not want to have purpose in life of being the light pull to my ceiling fan.
She received a burial in the trash. Interestingly, I ALSO purchased an airplane pull for my son. It arrived with a broken propeller. It lasted about 2 days of a boy pulling on his closet light to lose the chain. Because my son is so attached to the airplane, I managed to jimmy-rig it so hopefully the chain will stay properly seated in the aircraft at all time. Its only been 3 days though.

I had a hard time selecting these colorful little crabs because Amazon had hundreds listed. When I started searching, everything from flip-flops to lawn chairs to bluebirds to--well you name it!--crossed my vision. So many choices, but all from outside vendors! Amazon had none that I could buy to take advantage of my Prime Account (postage free). Dang it!
To replace the standard, plain-white pulls that came with the ceiling fan/light on the patio, I was determined to get something more suited to my tastes, so I doggedly perused page after page. I was sorely tempted by the green flip-flops with yellow and pink trim, but when I saw these crabs, a light-bulb came on in my head! Ah-ha! I muttered to myself! Since my son-in-law is from Maryland and introduced our family to Crab Fests, which we often have, I felt these would be perfect because the outdoor eating area and the barbecue grill is near the patio. Well, anyway... I'm pleased with this well-crafted purchase. I think they're pretty and they look appropriately cheerful as they dangle from the fixture. An added bonus is that they've proven to be good conversation-starters. What else can one expect from ceiling-fan/light pulls? (We actually have a wall-switch for turning the fan and light on and off, so we don't actually use the pulls that often, but it's comforting to know they'll save a few steps when needed. :-) The only thing discomfiting is that each pull is sold individually; I bought two and the vendor did not lower the shipping price to reflect that. Thus, good shopper that I am, I'm deducting one star for that assault on my pocketbook. Keep in mind, I think the product is five-star...
