Bad Performance,

I have many years of experience using whip cream dispensers working in coffee shops and was very excited to purchase one for myself at home. When I received my dispenser I was very disappointed with its performance from the start for several reasons.
Despite the head being screwed on thoroughly and tightly and the cartridge properly engaged you could physically hear air expelling from around the head's screw cap. This has lead to a large amount of whip cream remaining in the bottom of the dispenser that will not come out when pushing the trigger. Worst of all, despite releasing the remaining pressure, once it's time to refill/clean the dispenser the screw cap head will never come off easy. It gets stuck every time. I usually have to request assistance from the strongest male in the room and worry it will get broken in attempt to get it open. To be fair, I do think I may received a faulty product/part (and that happens sometimes) and that not every dispenser is this BAD. However, when I called Whip-It to trouble shoot these issues and possibly get replacement parts for potential faulty items, the representatives response was "BUY A NEW ONE." I feel this is lackluster customer service. You bet I will take the representatives advice and "BUY A NEW ONE" but it wont be one from their company.

I ordered two of this whippers, one white and the other silver, well, only one of them arrived with the gasket (the white one) so I can use only of these at a time because the whole cream whipper is useless without the gasket which makes me feel like I wasted half of my money. I also ordered a spare one, and it never arrived.

I bought this dispenser as a Christmas gift for my mother, and it is her new favorite thing! Easy to use, makes great, tasty whipped cream, and super fun. Keeps well in the fridge, too, though I don't know for how long, we keep using it all within a couple days! Have absolutely no regrets about this product.

Whipped cream made from scratch is not even on the same planet as store bought. The Whip It dispenser and Whip It chargers will save you loads of money and spare the earth many aluminum cans too. Love it! The fiery red color is pretty and makes everyday use seem festive!

I bought this after I had gone on a dairy free diet for whipping up coconut cream as a substitue. It works beautifully! Chill the can of coconut cream before mixing it with a little sweetener (I've used maple syrup and agave) and then pour it into the WhipIt container. It easily froths up just as well as real cows milk dairy. The only drawback, only it's not a huge one, is that you have to continually buy new cartridges to run the dispenser. They are pretty cheap though, and come in boxes with several refills. Note: I do recommend making sure to pull off the directional nozzle after each use and at least rinsing it out so that the cream you use doesn't dry and cake between uses. I didn't a couple of times out of laziness, and realized it's worth taking the extra minute to clean it off immediately. They do supply a little bottle brush for scrubbing it out as well.

Most definitely not for professional use,

We just opened up an ice cream parlor six weeks ago and I purchased three Whip-Its to make real whipped cream for our sundaes. All three are out of commission. One will not seal properly, another's rubber gasket broke and we have no idea why the third won't work. Can't tell you how many chargers we've wasted, not to mention quarts of cream. I'm now trying another brand.

Wanting fresh cream for toppings and also convenience? This is your answer.
We made crepes and had them with our brunch. The whipped cream was fun and convenient for each person to complete their own. |
