5.0 out of 5 stars Great Album, June 11, 2003

The Raveonettes are now near the top of my favortie bands list. The lead singers mono-tone voice sounds so cool and really fits the mood of the type of songs they play. It is nice to fall asleep to also. The lyrics and music are more sinister than other garage bands out there (which I despise), but it is this feature that would make people who do not really enjoy garage rock like the Raveonettes. That is why I give 'Whip It On' by the Raveonettes five stars. And watch out for my band Nuclear Dawn, hopefully coming to a town near you.

5.0 out of 5 stars ATTACK YA YA, April 11, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Whip It on (Audio CD)
It's sort of obvious that this band is being pushed because of the success of the White Stripes. Think about it: a strange two-piece band consisting of a guy and a girl.. oh come on..But regardless, the timing is probably the only bad thing about it. The Raveonettes are pretty good. Very moody, muddy...sinister even. Should be listened to on vinyl...so forget the CD and buy it in true rock and roll format. Yah! For another great two-person band that truly rocks.. try the Bassholes
