These replacement filters are virtually the same as the originals. They fit well and collect a lot of stuff you would prefer to have collected by your air purifier rather than your lungs. Price was right, delivery was good, and the product is good as well. No complaints.

these pre filters are hard to find without getting that roll of material that they jam in a small box and then cut your own. i have bought these 3 times now and will soon order more..

I bought a whirlpool air purifier years ago. The original filter and replacements were thin sheets back then. This one was much thicker; allowing it to capture more of the larger particulate matter (i.e. dust and dog hair).Although the air purifier works really well in the room I have it in, I really dislike the fact that Whirlpool doesn't make something that is washable. The instructions suggest that after these filters are dirty that they be tossed and replaced. They don't recommend washing them. I suppose it's an assurance of a steady income, but it's not eco friendly. I have another purifier by another manufacturer and they have a washable pre-filter (like so many other manufacturer's). To make them last a little longer I use my dyson vacuum to clean them off.
