Like other reviewers said, this turned out to be a bit narrower than I expected. Internal measurements are about 3" deep (top to bottom) X 8" long (end to end) but, as you can see from the photo of it, the end pieces slope inward at the bottom so the length at the bottom is more like 6". The significant (to me) measurement is front to back - less than 2".

I have a dishwasher that's made by Whirlpool. Neither it nor any other diswasher I've ever had requires this odd shape. I can only assume this basket is made to fit the rack of a specific and unusually shaped Whirlpool model rack.

The front and back walls of the basket warped inward slightly after a couple of wash cycles. Odd, since it is intended to be in a hot dishwasher specifically, but its ability to lock shut or hold small items isn't affected so I guess you'd call it just a cosmetic problem.

I sill like the basket, but I do wish it were about 1" wider and 1" taller.

This item is excellent for our purposes. It is small and feels flimsy; however, we just use it to wash bottle lids and other small items. I had a more sturdy and slightly larger dishwasher basket previously, but it was plastic-covered wire and soon began to rust. This plastic item is flexible and as we use it, it seems likely to hold up quite well for the was we use it. We are very happy with this item.

Inexpensive, all plastic so it can't rust, fits well along one edge of either dishwasher tray. Amazingly, couldn't find anything comparable at our local homewares suppliers. Amazon wins!

just what I was looking for. don't know why it is shaped the way it is , but it's ok, works fine.

A little smaller than I had hoped but it holds the tiny stuff in place.

This product is much better than the previous one I bought. It's a bit narrower than I might have liked, but its quality is good and it won't rust.

Arrived fast and safely packaged. This small items basket is perfect for cake decorating tips, among other things! It's great.

Small but adequate for items such as measuring spoons. Much better than the wire covered basket we had previously which rusted over time. Good product but wish it came in a bigger size also!

tooooooo small and does not fit properly in the dishwasher. it was not worth my time sending it back, so I just tossed it.

I am pleased with this product. It keeps small items from falling to the bottom of the washer and melting (if plastic)when the dryer coils come on.
