5.0 out of 5 stars Whirlpool Refrigerator
We own one of this model with the monochromatic satina (stainless steel look), and we are moving. To sell the house, the new buyer wanted this refrigerator, so it stays with the house. We are looking to buy the same one in our new home, because it is perfect for us, and I don't want one with any type of water dispenser (either on the ouside or interior). The bottom...

3.0 out of 5 stars Door Storage Problem
I've had my fridge for about 1 month now, and so far it's been working fine. It looks pretty and all, BUT I have to say that I am not very happy with the storage capacity of this fridge. The door bins are curved, so you can fit VERY FEW items in one bin. You can't fit many tall things (i.e. wine bottles after they've been opened) if you have some other things there...

3.0 out of 5 stars Door Storage Problem, June 1, 2010
I've had my fridge for about 1 month now, and so far it's been working fine. It looks pretty and all, BUT I have to say that I am not very happy with the storage capacity of this fridge. The door bins are curved, so you can fit VERY FEW items in one bin. You can't fit many tall things (i.e. wine bottles after they've been opened) if you have some other things there like milk and/or juice. The coke can dispenser is nice IF YOU DRINK FROM CANS! We don't and there's no way to change out that bin. It's just that my older Kenmore fridge (much cheaper) had a LOT more storage than this one. Too many curves in this model, which really bringe down storage capacity.

This was the one item that I did not look at carefully when buying my kitchen appliances. Probably would not buy it again.

2.0 out of 5 stars Broke twice in less than a year, June 5, 2011
By
Great refrigerator - got it b/c it was #1 in Consumer Reports - but broke twice within less than a year. First, the water dispenser stopped working. A few months later, the refrigetor started leaking water, and by the time we noticed it caused considerable damage to our hardwood floors (possibly related to the first problem we encountered). We may have a lemon on our hands, but these problems may hint at a quality problem with these refrigerators.

2.0 out of 5 stars Makes loud popping noise, DO NOT BUY, September 28, 2011
We bought Whirlpool Gold top/bottom model GB2FHDXWS01 few months back and now regret the purchase. After 5 months of working fine it started making loud popping nouse lasting for a minute everytime the fan would switch on. We have open kitchen and this noise can be heard down in the bedroom. The customer service states that this noise is "normal" and is described in the manual. If only I knew beforehand, I'd never buy this fridge. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. Buy german appliances instead - great quality and service. I still gave it 2 stars as it works OK for now, but I"m afraid it'll break down any moment now.

The bottom freezer is the best part. Easy reach for all other items, and plenty of storage.
