I could have spent $15 locally for the same part; the one I received was FPS, which is Whirlpool's replacement parts company. The part had the same numbers on it as the old part.
Stuck it on, and everything is fine. No muss, no fuss, and saved myself $10.
By the way, the drawing on the website is incorrect; the tabs are straight (like my old part), not bent at 90 degrees like the drawing.

Our dryer died and I knew this had failed after testing the circut. It worked perfectly and the dryer is still going. One word of caution, sometimes these things blow out because the dryer is overheating. If the new one burns out again quickly, check the dryer vent for being plugged. If that is not the cause, time for a new dryer. Bypassing this fuse is a sure fire way to burn your house down. Pun intended.

Wife came to me and said the dryer wouldn't turn on. You could hear an electronic click, but no movement on our electric dryer. After doing some research, figured this was the culprit. It arrived earlier than expected (I think a business day earlier, which was a Friday, so that was nice). This was the best price that I found. Easy to install, and fixed the problem.

The non-re settable thermal fuse blew, I cleaned the drier, the vent pipe, and replaced the thermal fuse. When the replacement non-re settable fuse blew I replaced the thermostat which resolved the problem - I do believe a faulty thermostat blew the first replacement thermal fuse. The thermal fuse arrived when expected, was reasonably well packaged for shipping, matched the original, installed easily, and has worked perfectly since installation - what more can you ask for.

OK, SO HERE'S THE DEAL. I found the "whirlpool" packaged thermofuse at my local appliance repair shop for $17.50. I bought it off of Amazon for $3 instead based on 650 5 star reviews. The problem with all of the 5 star reviews is that they are basing their opinion on if it made their dryer work. My point is, that if you replace this and it works, great, it made a circuit...... So would a cut-up coat hanger or any other piece of short metal. In this application they would all make your dryer work. Where you know if it is really a good part is when it fails. If its a good thermofuse, it will fail at a certain temperature and save a house fire. So, with that said, I installed it and it works. I just hope it fails when its supposed to for the price. My local appliance repairman tried to make that arguement when I mentioned the cost difference. So, is this part a cheap chinese knock-off that won't blow when its supposed to? Or is it a very competitive genuine replacement part. I plan on buying a second thermofuse and testing it to see if it blows and at what temp. I hope I am being clear with my concerns about this. When it comes to fuses, just because it works, dont mean it will do it's job.

I was amazed that a little $3 part fixed my dryer. Always check this part if your dryer just stops working one day and won't start when you hit the button. Might save you a few hundred bucks to buy this part!

These little fuses are over $12.00 in the few storefronts that actually carry them. I ordered and they came ahead of time. The fuse is a snap to replace - if you can fit behind the dryer!!

A fuse is a pretty simple item but the one I removed was burned out and this replacement fuse makes my dryer 'as good as new'.
I am so glad and happy I was able to find this on Amazon and have it delivered to my house. Really quick delivery. I ordered on Saturday and received on Monday. I ordered two (saving one for next repair.) Very simple to replace. I used a mutimeter (costs about $10) to determine that this was what I needed. At this price though, you could just buy the thermofuse and see if it fixes the problem of the dryer not heating.
