As you know, re-modeling a kitchen can be very costly. Having spent mega-bucks on a total renovation, we looked to save money where we could; the appliances.

We were not willing to sacrifice function, looks, or affordability. The Whirlpool MT4155 microwave meets our demands. At 1.5 cu. ft. capacity, I can cook in large casserole dishes. The 9"x13" glass pans fit in there comfortably, also. This is a powerful unit and performs quite well. It has a sleek stainless steel face with black trim.

Here is the best part. We wanted an under-cabinet model--one that's suspended above the counter top, but found them to be about four times the cost of this one. With the addition of a kit, we mounted the microwave and it looks and works exactly like the more expensive versions. One caveat: be certain that you have allowed for enough air to flow for the unit to meet safety standards.

Talk about having your cake and eating it, too. With this microwave, you actually could!

I bought this particular microwave mainly because it came in the bisque color to match the rest of my kitchen appliances. It is very difficult to find bisque. I personally use the microwave for reheating; I do not use it for cooking. What I don't like about this machine is way the "Reheat" is configured in that you have to choose an option: "dinner plate" or "soup" or "sauce." What if I just have a cup of coffee? I would prefer to choose a length of time and hit "Reheat" so that I don't have to physically stand by the microwave and monitor the progress of the reheat and interrupt it when I deem enough time has passed. You can choose to cook something at a lower power and that could possibly "reheat" the food, but it is a series of programming - choosing a cook time and a cook power, etc. - not a simple - "Reheat - 30 seconds." I don't like having to consult the manual every time I want to heat something up. Otherwise it works fine.

I wanted to order the Whirpool Bisque Microwave that was a step up from this one, but it was out of stock everywhere, so I ordered this one. (A local salesman told me that this color was going to be hard to find because everyone wants black, white or stainless steel!) Eeyuk! The microwave doesn't have a bunch of fancy stuff on it, but it's fast and cooks pretty evenly. It looks really nice in my old farmhouse kitchen too. I didn't give it 5 stars because it is all plastic, so tends to move when I push the buttons. The open/close button tends to stick-but pops out shortly. The microwave is a little noisy, but so far, I like it, and I'm happy I got it. Wow, it really shipped fast and no shipping costs too-woo hoo!

I researched microwaves and read hundreds of reviews before selecting this make and model, only to find that it's absolute garbage. Just one button works (Jet Start). Even the Off button doesn't work - I have to open the door to turn it off. No other features work except the clock. Because it's made of very light plastic, if I press a button or the door latch, the whole microwave slides across the counter. The turntable isn't level so the food moves off-center on it. I'm so disappointed, I will never buy anything by Whirlpool again. I don't know where this was manufactured, but it looks and acts like something built in a sweatshop in a third-world country.

I've had my microwave now for a month and I LOVE it! I love the bisque color and the features are great! Cooks food evenly, not too noisy and looks great!

I would purchase again!

Everything in our kitchen is Whirlpool bisque except for the Sears stainless microwave that bit the dust after several years of good service. Stainless shows too many smudges, as does black. My local HH Gregg store carried this model in white or black only. Could not get bisque. I said ok, white. $140 including tax. Got it home and the factory had sealed up a mw with a dented cabinet. I took that as a sign that a bisque mw is meant to be so I ordered the AJ Madison/Amazon bisque model and as soon as it was confirmed I returned the dented mw to HH Gregg. I had complained to the salesman about no bisque prior to buying the white one. He thought I was nuts when I told him the dent was a sign from God to buy the proper color. Cost was $25 more but I put it on an Amazon Visa so I'll get 3% back in rewards. I notice shipping is now about $25. Guess it was a December special but I was lucky and got $4.99 shipping. Whoopee!

Everything was good with my Amazon order. Took 4 days to arrive, ordered Sunday delivered Thursday, well packed with the microwave box packed inside a sturdy shipping carton. My favorite feature on mw is the 1 touch 30 sec power on high button. Just like it says, touch once, mw starts a second later and touch again to add additional 30 seconds. Bisque doesn't show fingerprints and the cooking cavity is just the size I wanted. I'm very well satisfied.

The cool thing about this microwave is that it prints out the message "Enjoy your meal" at the end of the session.
It is a bit noisy, but cooks vey well.
