5.0 out of 5 stars Ultra quiet, no issues
I've had this washer for 2 years and have had no issues with it at all. Very quiet, uses very little water and can wash large items like blankets with ease. We have 4 people in the house so as you can imagine this machine has seen a lot of useage.

1.0 out of 5 stars Whirlpool Cabrio washer / dryer absolutly junk DO NOT BUY THESE!, October 13, 2011

Purchased new set from Lowes May 2009...cost just over 1600.00 on sale..plus tax. My wife always wanted a he set so we drove up and purchased these Whirlpool WTW6600sw machines. They were working fine for a few months then the problems started...RPS Sensors, Stators, main control boards...Hundreds in parts , poorly washed clothes that smell totally sour/moldy, a repulsive stench that will not go away in the machine, knotted up damaged clothing the list goes on and on. Do yourself and you wallet a huge favor and buy something else. The Whirlpool name once stood for quality, durability and dependability....Now it stands for disposable junk! Trust me...Stay far far away from any of the Whirlpool Cabrio line of washer and dryers....I think Cabrio is a fancy name for Guaranteed to Cost you lots of MONEY...lots of FRUSTRATION....and is a extremely poorly made product of the lowest quality standards and performance..I'm sure the board of directors and investors loved the huge profits from these low quality machines but they have lost so many potential customers in the long as I for one will never own nor allow a Whirlpool product in my home again. I feel totally ripped off and you will too if you purchase these horrible , loud , poorly made machine's....DON'T BUY THESE GARBAGE MACHINES.....TRUST ME....BEEN THERE DONE THAT......WHIRLFOOL

1.0 out of 5 stars BIG MISTAKE! HATE IT!, January 2, 2012

This review is from: Whirlpool : WTW6200VW 28 Top-Load Washer with 4.5 cu. ft. Capacity White
We purchased the Cabrio washer and dryer in 2009 when we moved into our new home. We have had problems with both the washer & dryer but our main complaint is the washer. Sure, it was okay the first year. We are a family of 3 but I only use the Cabrio washer for myself and my son (hubby has his own washer in our garage). Anyway, about after a year, the noise during the spin cycle became louder and louder. We cannot even hear the tv in our living because the spin cycle is so loud. I guess after having listened to the loud noise for several years we are used to it but our in-laws were down and heard it and said it sounded like a plane was taking off. That is exactly what it sounds like. Not only is it noisy but something in that washer is ruining my towels/clothes. It has ruined over 20 bath towels and several pairs of pants. Something in the machine causes terrible snags. Another con is the fact that I don't feel like it cleans my clothes. I guess that is the HE part of it, but I hate it. I often remove several items out of each wash that is hardly even damp, causing me to have to rewash them because the garmet is still dirty. Lastly, we noticed our laundry room started stinking. We moved the washer out and found a big wet moldy spot underneath the washer where it has started leaking. The repair man said the small parts on this machine are not replaceable and we would have to purchase a new tub that would cost over $800.00. We paid big bucks for this several years ago and I so wish I hadn't. What looked and pretty on the sales floor turned out to be junk. The 15 year old $300.00 Kenmore washer out in the garage works better than this. Before you buy, search for more reviews on the internet. There are TONS of them out there with the same complaints.

1.0 out of 5 stars What a waste of money also, August 12, 2011
This review is from: Whirlpool : WTW6200VW 28 Top-Load Washer with 4.5 cu. ft. Capacity White
I have the same problem as the man from Florida. It is just my wife and I at home and our washer is making a lot of noise on the spin cycle and you can feel the vibration. It has been a great washer but for the price of the parts with me doing the work it would be cheaper to put the towards a new washer and you can bet it will not be a Whirlpool. I gave it a 1 stgar because there is no way to give less

1.0 out of 5 stars BEWARE OF WHIRLPOOL WASHERS!!, February 27, 2012
This review is from: Whirlpool : WTW6200VW 28 Top-Load Washer with 4.5 cu. ft. Capacity White
This was the 2nd Whirlpool washer I have purchased in the last 5 years. I have now wasted over $1400.00. I will NEVER buy anoter Whirlpool product. The error code that is preventing us from using the washer has been reported by thousands of other owners, yet Whirlpool refuses to take responsibility for their product failure. The only help they would offer me was the purchase of an extended warranty for $300.00 which would only be valid for one year. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am that I made this purchase.

1.0 out of 5 stars What a waste of money, January 31, 2011
This review is from: Whirlpool : WTW6200VW 28 Top-Load Washer with 4.5 cu. ft. Capacity White
I purchased this washer in Sept 2009. It stopped working 15 months later. Repairman said "defective wash basket balance ring" and "had never seen this before". Also, he doubted he could get parts since the Whirlpool website says these parts are discontinued. Also "the tub bearings are starting to fail". His recommendation was to buy a new washer - it would cost about $700 to fix. This washer was never abused and only 3 people in the family so there was not that much laundry. I purchased a Whirlpool product and found out thru the repairman that this was not made by Whirlpool but by another company and after 1 year, Whirlpool canceled their contract with them. Lucky me. No where in the warranty or service manual did it state the this washer was made by someone other than Whirlpool. Also, the Whirlpool representative told me "I should have bought the extended warranty". Thanks for that bit of advice. My money literally went down the drain. If I could give it "NO STARS" I would.
