Vocals that touch the soul. Great melodies. Great harmony. Nice guitar work. What more could you ask? Get it and their 100 Miles CD and you won't be disappointed. Both are extremely strong.

Being from East Tennessee and knowing Cruz and Leah and the work they have done, I am still surprised and delighted to hear these talented musicians and singers step out with such an original style and powerful CD. I purchased this music just three days ago, and have listened to it over and over again. Each time I have a new favorite. Each time I turn up the volume. Each time I count my lucky stars that I found The Black Lillies' Whiskey Angel. Incredible.

The Black Lillies "Whiskey Angel" is the type of record that bands like The Rolling Stones, U2 even Bob Dylan wish they wrote! It is a record of beautiful melodies and prose that will stand the test of time. Not being a fan of country musics Nashville corporate packaging, (almost everything it produces sounds the same) The Black Lillies steps outside the box of both corporate and traditional country music, to create music that sounds pure and heartfelt with a pinch of this and a dash of that which truly sets them apart from everyone. Each song is a aural taste treat that soothes the pangs for the need of original and honest songs. Upon first listening a person will be delighted that they have found something special and precious and with repeated listening it just gets better! The Black Lillies "Whiskey Angel" is a modern classic and should be heard by everyone!
