You'll FALL for Whiskey Falls,
By nazmama (Alabama) - See all my reviews

Whiskey Falls harmony can only be compared to Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young. No matter the age, there is a song on this CD for everyone. This is one of those CD's you like to play as you're driving down the road w/the windows rolled down just enjoying the scenery. It simply makes you feel good. Don't regret not buying this CD-do it today!!!

Whiskey Falls is the best group I've heard in a long time - they are just as good or at times even better than Rascal Flatts - their harmonies are spectular - a refreshing change - keep up the good work guys

I haven't heard a group that sounds like this in a long time. Such a combination of real down to earth talent that just kinda puts you right where they are singing about, whether it's the mood or the place. The harmony is unbeatable. I truly hope they take off big time and believe they will. Nobody has gotten my attention like these guys since the Eagles.

Whiskey Falls: Impressive,
By

The songs on this CD have so much variance which makes it phenomenal. A (relatively) slower song and then a fast upbeat song and everything in between. The vocals are a breathe of fresh air and the instrumentals are absolutley wonderful, especially with "Load Up The Bases (The Baseball Song)". Whiskey Falls will certainly be on the 'rise' with this CD. I love music, a fan of many genres, but this CD/band is certainly one of the best I have heard in a long time. Although I have my favorite songs off the CD, there's not one I do not like (a rarity). Although they only have one song out so far, I am already looking forward to the day they release another CD. Keep up the great work guys.

Classic country-rock is alive and well,

If you like vocal-oriented bands such as the Oak Ridge Boys, Alabama, Shenandoah, or the electric guitar-oriented country-rock of Poco and The Eagles, then you'll want to check out the Southern rock-flavored country-pop of Whiskey Falls... These guys have a nice, melodic sound and some fine harmony singing as well. A nice, new alternative to the swooping pop and soul of Tim McGraw and the macho swagger of Montgomery Gentry, et al. Definitely worth checking out! (DJ Joe Sixpack)

A Must-buy Country CD!!,
This review is from: Whiskey Falls (Audio CD)
What an excellent, talented group, Whiskey Falls! Song after song their harmonies are so easy to listen to! Whether it's the easy two-step tune of "Falling into You" or the baseball fan appropriate, Queen-like rock anthem, "Load up the Bases," there is something for everyone on this CD, from the true country fan to the country rock enthusiast. On "Last Train Running," the harmony sounds a lot like "Seven Bridges Road." And then on "The Night ain't over Yet," it's almost like I'm listening to Big and Rich. From their ballads to the up-tempo songs, all make me want to get up and dance!
They for some reason aren't getting the promotion that a lot of less talented country groups are. I don't know why? Maybe they don't have the right agent or record company! They definitely deserve more of the spotlight!

Fantastic Harmonies,

Whiskey Falls has been compared to many other artists, but the first that comes to my mind is the Eagles. Regardless, they truly have fabulous harmonies, and each one of these guys has definite raw talent.

Purchased the CD for the "baseball" song. Found that I have enjoyed the whole CD! Beautiful harmony, a little of that "country rock" that I love and just good music. I highly recommend this!

I have an appreciation for country music, but I listen to very little. My interests tend to gravitate to rock, jazz, new age and classical. I've always liked bands like The Charlie Daniels Band and Marshall Tucker and this album leans more in this direction than twangy country and the harmony is like that of CSNY. I primarily bought this CD because I wanted to hear the guitar work of Damon Johnson, who also plays lead guitar for the one and only Alice Cooper, of whom I'm a big fan. I've seen Damon live in concert with Alice and he is very talented. Another good thing going for him is that his home is right here in Alabama. One of my favorite songs on the CD is "Last Train Running." Damon does some excellent slide work. This is a very good album, I recommend it and I'm sure I'll buy their next one, but I'll always be a true fan of rock and roll.
