what kind of yuppy retards do you have reviewing this cd so far....IT'S PUNK FOR GODS SAKE!!! The music is supposed to be fist pumpin fun, not some melodic emotional outbreak of tears and queers... so learn a thing or two about REAL PUNK before you go mouthin' off....Love Tim.........kisses

I dont know where these people are from who dont like this CD. these guys arent meant to be some oppresive anthem writing band, these guys are some good hardcore fun! this cd isnt some big punk landmark but it is a good buy. ive seen them in concert several times and they are worth buying the cd. if u do like them too check out the band Pressure Point!

i've seen the whiskey rebels many times and each time i was amazed by their energy. i would like to see any one of you choads possess big chucks energy, especially if you weighed 400 pounds. yeah their lyrics are typical of most oi, but they're fun and easy to relate to. also they are probably the hardest working band left in sacremento.

An Anthemic Album,
By A Customer

The Whiskey Rebels are our local heroes- they draw large audiences to local Sacto venues, and always provide a good time. Their album may not be revolutionary or particularly memorable, but it is at least worth the studio time to provide fans the ability to listen and memorize the songs so they can join in the sing along at the next show.

I have been listening to this record for years and the intensity and hooks never get old. As solid as the best Casualties or Lars Frederiksen record with a definite nod to the old British Oi scene. These Sacramento punks have yet to find the audience they deserve. With all their songs about boozing and unity and their gritty look, they may scare off folks who might think they are a racist skinhead band. After seeing them live with an audience full of devoted multi-ethnic S.H.A.R.P.s, I know for a fact that this band is down with everyone.

Inexpliciably, ear bleedingly BAD!!!,

I have grown to expect very little from our music industry that celebrates mediocrity and promotes all that is un-excellent, however this, the Whiskey Rebels is a new level of bad. Never have I heard such lack of creativity, not to their mention musical ineptness. The one redeeming quality may be their sense of humor, shown in the addition of their obviously comical bass lines. I mean, I am assuming even they don't take these things seriously! This must only make them popular with 16 year old girls, which I would also assume makes up the bulk of their audience. ...

Being a Resident of Sacramento you hear a lot of punk music and there are dozens of local punk bands on the scene. But the Whiskey Rebels by far are the most overated band I have ever come into. I came to show with an open mind but when I got there I was sickened. They are a rancid ripofff, and a group of aging hipsters. Thier music leaves much to be desired. The cord progressions they use are very basic and the vocalist is obscenely bad. I have never heard such simple music in my entire life. The bass lines are perhaps the most sophmoric I have heard in a long time. This band deserves no critical acclaim and the album is a waste of [money].

This band lacks talent,

This band is a painful display of Urban Youth gone awry.I feel that these fellows are a poor display of musicians. I went to a local show in Auburn, and was dissapointed. The dissapointment I felt while listening to their album is not describable by any known language. I would just like to make all those out there aware of this band's lack of sophistication in style.

This Band is by far the worst representation of Music ever known. Never have I nor anyone for that matter, have ever been exposed to such garbage. The bassist is grossly inadequate and kidding? I heard someone refer to them as "local heros"...yeah, this album is with any amount of written words. |
