4.0 out of 5 stars Great home server case
First things first. This case is not suitable, nor is it intended, to house a high-end gaming rig. If that's what you're looking for than move along, nothing to see here.

Where this case really shines is HTPC/Home Server duties. The case is divided into two chambers; the lower houses 9 HDD bays and the PSU, as well as it's own cooling fan; the upper chamber...

3.0 out of 5 stars The silence is not enough
The case is split in two sections. Lower section got housing for 10 3.5" disks. They're conveniently located, but since the case is not wide enough, you have to use 90 degrees angled SATA cables.

The upper section does not have intake fan. Air circulation is problematic. You need to install an intake, such as Scythe Kama. But access to the right wall of 5.25...

4.0 out of 5 stars Great home server case, June 2, 2009

First things first. This case is not suitable, nor is it intended, to house a high-end gaming rig. If that's what you're looking for than move along, nothing to see here.

Where this case really shines is HTPC/Home Server duties. The case is divided into two chambers; the lower houses 9 HDD bays and the PSU, as well as it's own cooling fan; the upper chamber houses everything else, though it only has one exhaust fan. The cooling is sufficient for the average budget/mainstream system, as long as you're not trying to run a pair of high end graphics cards.

The sound insulation does an excellent job keeping things quiet. I have 6 HDDs and a Core2 E7200 based system being used as a media server, and it is nearly inaudible.

The cable management leaves a bit to be desired, but as there's no case window this becomes mostly a non issue. Installation of the system was straightforward, and only took about half an hour. Construction quality is good, and the door feels pretty solid.

If you're looking for a quiet and stylish home server chassis, or a tower to use as an HTPC, look no further.

3.0 out of 5 stars The silence is not enough, July 5, 2009

The case is split in two sections. Lower section got housing for 10 3.5" disks. They're conveniently located, but since the case is not wide enough, you have to use 90 degrees angled SATA cables.

The upper section does not have intake fan. Air circulation is problematic. You need to install an intake, such as Scythe Kama. But access to the right wall of 5.25 cage is blocked by additional steel plate. If you want to mount any device besides DVD-rom drive in the case, you can't access the holes on the right side.

There is a compartment on the top of the case that houses USB and e-SATA sockets. Its construction is weak. You have to use two hands to connect a cable.

Get a simple large case, glue a noise-dampening foam to its sides, you'll get the same performance.

Quiet and cool, this is the one to build your dream system in. I use it in a recording studio and hardly know it's in the room. Everything runs cool. Buy it.

Case is great. UPS broke all the clips to the front panel. Still waiting on the replacement part. Wish the harddrive bays were a little shorter so that I can flip the harddrives and face them the opposite direction.

case looks great and does its job with minimal noise. The only problem is if your looking to over clock and need very low system temps this case does not provide enough cooling. My system temps rise to the 40's. Upgraded fans might help but that would increase the noise. The 120mm front fan cools the hard drives very well but i dont think the air reaches the rest of the components. Great case though, much better appearance than all the funny looking cases out there and it is quiet.

Overall the case is nice, good features and all but finish is cheap and front door is made of plastic. (deal breaker for me) had to send it back.

This product is pretty recommendable, because it is well designed and looks sophisticated.
Best thing about this product is very solid iron frame.
And price is low =) ..
