3.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous, February 25, 2001

Belinda Anne (Sydney, Australia) - See all my reviews
This is the second book in Catherine Palmer's 'Treasure of the Heart' series. After meeting the Thornton family in the first book, Palmer moves on to tell the story of Jessica Thornton and her son Splinter. After having inherited a house on Zanaibar, Jessica moves there from England looking for a better life for her and her son. There she meets her long-lost husband and sparks fly.

One of the best features of this book is that some chapters are written from Splinter's point of view. These prove to be REALLY funny as he views situations in a much different way to his mother.

I don't think that this book is as good as the first book. It took me awhile to get into this book and some of the characters were not developed as much as I would have liked them to be. Catherine Palmer is my favourite christian writer and I would recommend any of her books.

Catherine Palmer has done it again! Another great tale of romance and suspense in Africa. I especially love the way she shows that the love of God can overcome any obstacle, even unforgiveness.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful!, August 29, 2006
This book, like the others in this series, is set in Africa. The author packs it full of history and details current to their culture today. The romance is touching and exciting. A beautiful read!
