These fans are nice, You probably should buy a 360 tool kit to install these as to not mess up your case. If you have the kit, it installs in about 10 minutes. easy easy easy. There was no directions with this thats how easy it is. The lights looks cool, it sounds very different- my old fans would spin at max speed and sounded like a vacuum cleaner, with these I can play the most graphically demanding games (Crysis 2 and Black Ops) and its still really quiet compared to before. I have to ad that only one of my fans spun prior to installing the new ones, so my xbox was exceptionally louder than a normal xbox, which could be why I am so impressed with these compared to the other reviews. But good stuff, especially if you need the upgrade.

Well there are some positives and some negatives to this fan...
POSITIVES
-Does seem a bit quieter. (don't forget to load your games to your hd for quieter operation.)
-Seamless installation. If you are at all familiar with the inside of your xbox than this will go in, in a minute or two.
-Although I cannot prove this, it seems to be pulling more air out of the box, so I assume more air circulation = cooler xbox.
NEGATIVES
-The LEDs look cheesy. If this kind of thing annoys you they really aren't that bright, and...
-The LEDs went dead within a few hours of running time. serendipitous, I know.
-Its still loud!!!

OVERALL
This a great product if you play a lot and are trying to keep your xbox a degree or two cooler, but there are so many fixes for the common problems(xclamp, pennies...) and unfortunately for the user I think when we get 3RROD or it starts freezing up we think its not getting enough air and replace the fan. Do your research, this is a neat mod for the light perverts but will probably not fix your xbox.

Amazing. Super quiet and very strong fan. It's been working great for my Xbox 360 elite for a month now with zero problems.

I needed a new fan set because one of my fans stopped working. I asked a buddy who is huge into xbox gaming and he said they were pretty solid. I was going to buy an original OEM replacement set; however, I figured the extra air flowwas worth it since my xbox (elite, 2007 model) is getting older.

I got the green to match xbox default colors. Honestly, I did not care about the led lighting and would have purchased a non-lit version. However, the green glow hitting the wall behind my xbox is not annoying. Its kind of cool; they are very bright.

As for air flow, there is no way to test this; however, there is a good, warm breeze coming out of the back of my xbox as expected. I did compare the blades on this versus the original. These blades are slightly larger because the middle of the fan is ever so slightly smaller and the blades also are ever so slightly deeper.

In all, I'm pretty satisfied with this.

i would definately reccomend it if you want some extra cooling for your 360.
i used it in my 360 after i had recieved an rrod on it. used the rrod kit then replaced the stock fan with this.

The fan works pretty well. Might be better than the original, it seems a bit quieter. The LED isn't too bright or obnoxious either. I'd definitely buy it again.

This fan is great! It goes great along with the other green led's I have and my modded case. Even before the modded case I could see a glow out the back of my xbox. I can tell its quieter and I haven't had any red rings or overheating with it. I've had this fan for a couple of months now and it's still working as good as the first day I bought it. I would definitely recommend this fan for anyone wanting to replace theirs instead of getting a loud intercooler.

Before I had this fan, my xbox sounded like it was goint to grow wings and take off. Thought there might have been a jet engine in my xbox. Now the xbox is quiet and cool and has not over heated. So far so good, but its only been two days. No complaints at all. I do run my xbox about 12 hours a day using the media center application so its pretty much always on. This fan is quiet, much quieter, then the fan that it replaced. Also used compressed air to blow all the dust out of the 2 year old xbox as well so I am sure that helped too.

I was getting a 2 red light issue and had already removed and reapplied the heatsink compund but my Xbox was still overheating. I bought this fan since it moved more CFPM of air but unfortunately it did not help my issue. My overall fix was to just mod my xbox case and install a small fan that would draw air in and blow it directly on the GPU heatsink- problem solved. The Whisper fan is quiet but to tell the truth the stock Xbox fan was quiet too. The green light is a nice effect but unless you have modded your Xbox so you can see inside it doesn't show that much.

I had the "red ring of death" problem with my 360 (known heat-related failure). I got it repaired at a local shop. They recommended a fan "fix" that basically re-pinned the stock cooling fan to run at its highest speed all the time rather than throttling down. Needless to say this maximizes the fan noise all the time and it's a noisy fan anyway. Instead, I bought the whisper fan and installed it myself (with some help from the Internet). I would not recommended it if you're not handy, but if you follow instructions you'll be OK. The result is a cool and quieter 360.
