Different than other Relaxing albums,

What's different about Whisper is that it's even MORE peaceful than Enya- I hadn't thought that was possible. It moves a little more slowly. I can also understand the words, and they are encouraging and uplifting. The quality of the songwriting is about the same as Enya, which is so much better than most New Age-type albums.

I have just listen to some of the best easy and hot music that I have came across in a long time. This is sure to make even the none easy listener to take a second take of this relaxing music. My hat off to Troy and Genie of a great work. Stay always in his Word and you will go very far in the things that you do for the Lord.God Bless you both!

The best music in the world for relaxation and healing,

I'm reclining here, as the waves wash over me of a CD that my nurse gave me of Genie, titled "Whisper". (By the way, the realaudio samples above are not on the Whisper CD I'm listening to). I'm amazed with the quiet gentleness and unadulterated comfort that flows from this CD...Very consistent- obviously planned for relaxation and maximum peace. I feel that Genie's music is elongating and deepening my alpha, beta, and theta waves- translation: "It's more relaxing than valium!" And her voice- so tender and gentle and perfectly in tune, it makes you want to cry. I hear alot of faster music these days although I like it, Genie's Whisper is so refreshing and I find that I listen to it many, many times in a row because it truly comforts my spirit! The compositions on Whisper are so solid- every song is well-written. You can tell Genie really cares deeply about helping people through her music. "Shalom"....what an unbelievably great song. it goes through my head whenever I'm feeling stressed, and calms me. That's what the world needs now. I'm sure Whisper will be too slow for some folks, but if you realize just how much you need to relax, how stressed out and hyped you become just by being alive in these crazy times, you will appreciate Genie's gift to you and treasure Whisper always. It's like the feeling when you leave the hectic boom boom pace of the world and video games, and get out into Yellowstone Park. You just stand amazed at the quiet, slow beauty of nature, and realize that everything is in control. That's what Genie's Whisper is like. Unforgettable.

The Realaudio and Windows Media samples provided by Amazon (above) at the time of this review are NOT what's on the CD - I have no idea why. I guess to preview you Whisper you should download the MP3. Those realaudio snippets sound nice, but they're from a different album. If you hear drums,it's not Whisper, it's probably one of Genie's husband and musical partner Troy's CD's. I've never heard anything even remotely banging like drums on any of Genie's CD's- that's why I like them so much. Whisper is actually very soft and gentle, like a softer version of Enya. If you're looking to relax, that's what the Whisper CD will do for you. If you want drums look elsewhere.

When my mother was dying of cancer, she couldn't speak. But she would motion for us to bring her writing pad, and would write "Whisper" on it and we knew that she wanted the only music that brought her peace in her last days. We are so thankful for Genie's tender heart expressed in this CD.

This CD, Whisper is like 70 minutes long. It's like getting 2 CD's.What's so gratifying is that it's all lovely. I'm a very pleased customer. I'm listening to it right now and I can feel the tension going out of my neck.
