Preparing to take her vows as a novice, Dominica Kirkland leaves her home at the mission in California to travel to Iowa. She believes she has been sent for by her generous benefactor, Toma Colfax. Toma was a friend of her father's and Domini hopes that Toma will be able to tell her how her father died. I have read better books,

"Whisper My Name" is a very typical romance novel. The hero feels that he is incapable of loving anyone or being loved. The heroine is vulnerable but willing to help the hero by putting herself on the line. There are a few parts in the book that I liked, but I was pretty bored with the dialogue and the repetitious descriptions that were used. I know Cantrell can write better novels. The plot of this one was sadly predictable.
