Book Description

Whisper -- Kindle Bestseller

Praise for Whisper:

"The concept of presented within the book– a new technology being created that can in a sense make people and objects invisible for a given set time and also transport an object or person to another time period–is pretty darn awesome! The author did a wonderful job of explaining how such a technology could be created and work effectively. " -- A.C.

"Really interesting concept that kept me intrigued throughout." -- K.K.

Overview:

** WARNING: Not for children or young teens. Contains mature language and situations. **

The crew of the USS Whisper must get back to their rightful place in time after accidentally transporting 200 years into the past while testing a device to make the ship invisible. Captain Wiley Randolph and his crew fight against time, a 200 year old frigate, a Japanese Zero, and a German Wolf Pack of submarines to get home safely.

Great gift for dad. Guy gift for the holidays!

5.0 out of 5 stars good story good book October 26, 2011

I'm not much of a reader and once I got going this book sucked me right in. As one of the other reviews said there are some errors but it didn't bother me, perhaps because I'm not much of a reader. Although I didn't understand the nautical terms they used I liked that the author used them, had he used laymen's terms it would have takes away from the rest of the story.

4.0 out of 5 stars A review from [...]. March 22, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Whisper (Wiley Randolph Series)

I was quite impressed by this novel and rather enjoyed the ship references. Although I did not know what most of the commands meant it made me feel as if I were part of the crew. I had a sense of being there and could almost taste the salt water and fuel. This is a recommended read.

1.0 out of 5 stars Editor and technical advisor needed! September 4, 2011
By M. Card
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I knew I had made a mistake buying this Kindle book when I got to Page 3 and read, "Not everybody had as colorful of a career in the Navy as he had." An 8th grade student should have known to leave out "of" in this sentence. Typos on almost every page. I'm still trying to figure out what a "dude missile" is. And it isn't a "mute" point but a "moot" point. And there are no floors and stairs on naval ships, they are decks and ladders. There also seemed to be a lot of mixing up "ward room" and "war room". Finally, the term is, "I couldn't care less" not "I could care less."

The concept was pretty good but the number of grammatical errors just caused me too much teeth grinding to rate the book better than 1 star. I will probably buy the next book by this author, if only to see whether he has found a decent editor.

More About the Author

Since publishing my first two novels I have discovered that I enjoy writing books much more than I love reading them. I probably should have been an Engineer but life got in the way. I love that all of my crazy ideas that I come up with can be brought to life through the books that I write.

I Love to write books and read others books. I am a God fearing, family man with a 8 - 5 day job. I enjoy riding my motorcycle, and building models, along with spending as much time as possible raising my children with my wonderful wife.

I have written and E-Published two novels so far.
"Whisper" in January of 2011.
"No Rules Of Engagement" in September 2011.
Look for "Leviathan Deterrent" Fall of 2012.

Currently Editting the sequels to both books!
