5.0 out of 5 stars Good
When i started reading this book, I found Hoh's books nonlikeale. In the last 4 books I read, the killer was easy to prodict. When I read this one I was blown away. The events that happened were good, and an unexpected ending. When I started reading this book, I thought it would be like R.L. Stine's No Answer and The Cheater. Both I hatted. This book was not like them...

3.0 out of 5 stars This book was OK
This book was alright but it has NOTHING on R.L Stine's " The Cheater" it seems that's was Diane Hoh was trying to copy off of. Diane could have come up ith something better, this book looked like it as written from the mind of a first grader.
The pranks that "The Whisperer" made Shea do were more funny than scary.
The only thing I liked was the ending...

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good., August 10, 2004

When I started to read this book, I thought that the plot was SO predictable, and that the plot wasn't original. But when I kept on reading, I found out that there were many surprises. You'll never guess who is the "whisperer" and the ending is good. Try this book. It's pretty good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!, March 21, 2001
A Kid's Review
I read "The Whisperer" by Diane Hoh for a book report. I'm in the 7th grade. I had 3 weeks to read the book but it was so good I read it in 2 days. I usually wait till the end and have about 100 pages to read in a day but I just couldn't stop once i started. Diane Hoh is my favorite author and i'm constantly looking for websites about her and more books. I also reccomend "Kidnapped" by Diane hoh. You'll love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Suspenseful but Entertaining, September 12, 2000
A Kid's Review
I read Nightmare Hall: The Whisper by Diane Hoh and it was such a great book. I could not put the book down every time I would try to put it down for the night something suspenseful happened and I kept on reading. In this story a girl named Shea is getting menacing phone calls right after an accident with her college teacher happens and the teacher gets put in the hospital. This book wasn't that hard to read but if you weren't concentrating not only are you missing out but you are sure to miss something important. I highly recommend this book to any one who likes suspense, mystery, and a little spook in their lives.

5.0 out of 5 stars Who said school was safe??, January 4, 1998
By A Customer
Shea cheats on one test, and it threw her into a mess of trouble. Desperate to get an incriminating videotape of her stealing answers , Shea will do anything the anonymus psychopath tells her. Until the demands begin to get worse, and Shea refuses to do the deeds. Now, she's trying to save herself and the other students, before the crazy peron strikes on their own. Comment: A real gripper. I was sitting on the edge of my seat. Diane Hoh's once again written a great horror. The ending shows that your aren't safe anywhere, even at school!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting and really scary., June 29, 1997
By A Customer
"You don't have to worry. No one will know what you've done. I've seen to that." With those eery words, Diane Hoh takes you on a thrilling ride! Shea, a university student on scholarship, makes the biggest mistake of her life when she cheats on an important exam. Even worse, she has been caught by a crazy black-mailer whose strange demands have her fearing for her life. When will it stop? This is ONE OF MY FAVORITE Nightmare Hall books. The most important lesson is CHEATERS NEVER WIN...you'll understand by the end of the story..
