Book Description

February 1, 1995
In this text, Stuart Wilde challenges the reader to stand outside the usual paradigms of consciousness as fringe dwellers, and as outsiders, and asks us to observe the dying throes of what he calls the world ego - the embodiment of the manipulative and dominate force of the status quo.

5.0 out of 5 stars READ IT! Unless of course, you like living in the dark., May 21, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Whispering Winds of Change (Vol 1) (Paperback)
I own everything this author has written that I know about. This is my personal favorite. Stu appears to be quite a sensitive fellow. He is not his most sensitive in WWOC. He doesn't coddle here. Here in "Whispering Winds" in Stu's own extremely entertaining fashion he guides you through the maze of where we have been staight into the abyss of where we are headed. The book touches on and enlightens us on subjects not previously covered in any other "Wilde" material. My 13 year old daughter read this book with more interest than I have ever seen her have in any literature. I feel this book is a valuable tool for anyone ready to look candidly at the world we live in. If you are ready to shed some emotional garbage and misperceptions, then, WWOC is a veritable "Hand Truck" and just the book for you. I especially recommend it to anyone who is already a "Wilde Fan," as there is quite a bit more about the author and his life in WWOC. Not to fret! This is a good size book, and he covers a lot of territory here, even a small smattering of politics. Also, Wilde is a wonderful teacher, and doesn't often give in to the vanity of discussing himself unless he feels their is a "Golden Nugget" of wisdom in there for his reader. I highly recommend any book written by this author, but most heartily recommend "Whispering Winds", "The Force," and "The Quickening." You are going to want to call your friends and tell them about this book. DON'T DO IT. You won't want to loan it, and this is definitely a rereader.

This book will challenge the way we see ourselves in the world of senses. It let's you venture out from the status quo and world ego. He challenges us to stand outside the usual paradigms of consciousness, and be "fringe dwellers".

It is a very compelling read and one that will last in your consciousness for a long time! Stuart is truly a "wild man" he will make you think and help you further your evolution on the planet!

4.0 out of 5 stars Unique Perspectives, April 9, 2002
This review is from: Whispering Winds of Change (Vol 1) (Paperback)
Wilde is one of my favorite authors and this book was again an engaging read. I doubt, however, is this title is of the same quality as his classics like Affirmations and The Force. This book was published in 1993 and I suspect he might already have been proven wrong in some of his political predictions. Also, sometimes his thoughts meander and it becomes difficult to make out exactly what he wants to say. Nevertheless, there are brilliant passages and his dissident and unorthodox views of stuff like global warming are excellent. His analysis of government misrule, especially in the manipulation of money, is also very valid. His explanation of historical events based on the wave/particle duality is original and interesting. So yes, a thought-provoking book and a good read, but not his best.
