I'm a big fan of the environmental genre and own a lot of the Eco-Voyage (now Nature Whispers), Relax with..., Solitudes, and Serenity series. So, yeah, with that in mind I can rate this cd among the very top of anything I've heard. A very nice array of sounds accompany the soft yet effective guitar. You get a pretty sweet owl sound as accompaniment in track 4 (sparkling sky, sure to be one of your favorites as it creates a feeling of ultimate tranquility) and nice undertones of frogs in the following track, Forever Green. As a compilation, it certainly resembles a mellow and relaxing musical journey which accordingly stays true to its title. Most of the tracks are about seven minutes a piece with a total of about fifty-five minutes. Pick this one up; you'll thank yourself for it. And if you like this one, check out Gibson's other masterpiece "Caribbean Dream" which transports you to your own tropical island, so to speak. Enjoy!

My wife and I came across this CD on our honeymoon in Bali. It become the soundtrack for our two weeks there. It has a gentle, soothing quality. It creates an atmosphere of peace, serenity and intimacy. It is truly a beautiful collection of music. We played it everynight as we went to sleep. It is perfect for relaxation, meditation or love making.

I actually heard this album when my husband and I were staying at a bed & breakfast in upstate, NY. It's a great cd with soothing music that's perfect for relaxing.

Dan Gibson's Whispering Woods is relaxing listen. It's like reading a book, in the woods near a stream, hearing birds, frogs, breezes and all the nature that surrounds you, It's like being right there. All of Dan Gibson Solitude are the best. If you want to relax and get away, this well do it.

As I lay down to have a massage and waited for some lovely music and nature to wash over me..... along with the music came an annoying bird sound on the disc..... the massuese and I laughed and immediately turned it off, so I don't know how long it lasted, all I can say is that the first track is a doozey....
