5.0 out of 5 stars A Rollercoaster Ride!!
This story took me by storm from chaper 1. There are not many people who find their soul-mates one beautiful night in Las Vegas. Most people are not fortunate to love someone and have them love you and trust you in return instantly from the first meeting. Your wonderful life together is cut short only to find that you have a choice to make. Let your mate live safe...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Story
For me the book was an ok read. I don't regret reading it at all. However, I don't feel I can recommend it. I give the book a solid three stars for the story. I enjoyed the story. The reason for the three is as follows:

# 1 Character development for me is weak. It appears the author purposely left something out.

# 2 The author appears to...

Let your mate live safe from harm, without you. Never knowing about your unborn child, not knowing that she is now in a hospital dying and needing your help....and somehow you are called to save her life. You are then faced with a mother, who looks different than your late wife, but somehow feels like her, your heart is torn but you can't figure out why.....

5.0 out of 5 stars This was just too Good, March 2, 2000
This review is from: Whispers of Love (Arabesque) (Paperback)
This was a story of intrigue and undercover. So much so, one of the characters was hidden in the protection program, to protect a mate. I've often wondered if one person would know a loved one even after plastic surgery and voice altering techniques. Well if you want to know, read this book. Robyn and Grant will pull all of your emotions and make you smile. A good, good read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Whispers of Love!!, November 4, 2000
This review is from: Whispers of Love (Arabesque) (Paperback)
Talk about an unforgettable love! Those would be the words to discribe Robyn(Brooke), who gives up everything but her child to protect the person most important in her life, her husband. Only getting in contact with him when her child's life was in danger, she could not lose her too! But the love for Robyn never died for Grant. Grant loved his wife so much he wants her back with her new life and all!! Talk about true love. This book had me crying. Not many love stories get a reaction like that out of me, but this one did! Gread Read! Much Love Hailstock!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Story, November 2, 2009

For me the book was an ok read. I don't regret reading it at all. However, I don't feel I can recommend it. I give the book a solid three stars for the story. I enjoyed the story. The reason for the three is as follows:

# 1 Character development for me is weak. It appears the author purposely left something out.

# 2 The author appears to have a long hair fetish. Robins' hair appeared to be as much of a character as the humans. She referred to it so much. I found this annoying.

# 3 read the book because I thought it was about black folks. However, the characters were cultureless. I never felt like these were Black folks. I wasn't sure what they were. There were very few references to distinguish them as Black. It appears the author purposely tried to almost make them grey, even though she mention skin tone of Robin and Grant..

# 4 The author described Robyn as brown. But she also made reference to her being pale when she was upset, etc. . How can a brown person be pale?

In conclusion, I relatively enjoyed reading the book. Romance novels aren't really my genre of literature.. I am a stickler for details when comes to reading fiction. It has to make sense. It was okay read. I don't feel I can recommend it, unless I could give it a solid 4 stars. I also would not say not to read it. It is not that bad of book. Inconsistencies and vagueness are pet peeves for me. It on y'all to decide.

5.0 out of 5 stars Non-stop action and suspense!, April 9, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Whispers of Love (Arabesque) (Paperback)
This book was one of the best books that I have read in a great while. While most romance books are too much on the mushy side, this book has so much more than just a you-know-how it-turns-out-happily-ever after romance book. Ms. Hailstock is an above average writer and I'll have to look more into her books. This is a must read book, go and get it today.

His daughter was dying and Robyn called on Grant for help as, Brooke, another person. Whispers of love and passion erupts between them. Will Brooke tell Grant that she is HIS Robyn? If she does, How will the FBI continue to shelter her and her family

5.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing, Captivating, Exilarating, March 23, 1999

This was much more than a romance novel. This story eased you into a protection program, and then kept you in suspense. I uncrossed my fingers so many times it was comical. Absolutely a good book to read. Ms Hailstock is fastly becoming one of my favorites.
