The lovely Fionnuala, (pronounced Fin-ooh-la) has given us the gift of this elegant and hauntingly beautiful collection of songs. With a voice rooted in technical purity, she bathes each song in such dynmaic passion that they both soothe the soul and set the spirit soaring. Her diverse song selection covers a vast territory; musical footsteps from her blossoming artisic past, present and future. Each song in itself is a "Whisper of Love." She honors her past work as lead singer and harpist with Secret Garden with an expansive version of "Prayer." The opening song, "Magic," seduces us with spanish guitar as she easily convinces us that "I am your dream," offering the irresistible invitation to "follow me, follow me." Her version of the Bread classic, "If" is made even more beautiful then the original, infused with the deep well of her longing. She boldy covers Eva Cassidy's version of "I Know You By Heart'" with such fragile delicacy that it floats. She offers a few traditional Irish songs and her Gaelic is simply delicious. Her musical painting of "Winter Fire & Snow," transports us right to the warm hearth of her heart. I remain totally enchanted by this stunning album that has captured my heart and soul.

Her voice is angelical but after hearing 3 or 4 selections I get tired of the same rhythm.

I was not disappointed with this cd whispers of Love in any way. Her choice of songs is inspirational but more importantly her voice has such a pure vibration it is impossible not to smile. enjoy I know you will. shawna ross

I came across this album by accident. I am pleased I did, if you are the type of person who likes to be lost in the music and a truly amazing voice this one is for you!

This album is lovely. Fionnuala's voice is soothingly angelic. She creates an elevating calm that touches the soul beautifully. "Whispers of Love" is an excellent choice when I want to create a calm setting-whether in the car, in yoga class or at home.

"Whispers of Love" is a classic. It is one of those albums which I will listen to for years and regularly come back to. It pulls you into its world and does not let you leave.

Anyone who has heard Fionnuala Gill knows that she has one of the voices of her generation, but how did she put such a great album together? I was delighted to hear that she was releasing a solo album -certainly her talent demanded as much. But it is one thing to have a great voice, and entirely another to produce a record that will do it justice. Having worked in the music business I knew how fiendishly hard it is to come up with something that is any good, so I did not wish to raise my hopes too high. Music - even for the talented is largely about magic and who can control that?

Well, it would appear that Fionnuala Gill can. There are many individual moments of such throughout this album, but more than this all the parts seem to cohere so effortlessly that we hardly notice how much we are being transported. Easily and without showiness, we are immersed in music which is simultaneously sophisticated and pure. Relying on the listeners ability to be seduced by simplicity we are treated to music which is unashamedly beautiful. Never before have I felt as if an artist has taken me by the hand and given me a personal journey through their world. This is skill of the highest level and I have no idea how it is done.

Great beauty is transformative - we are changed and the process is irresistable. We do not choose to change, we are pulled, we forget ourselves. Unfortunately in a world where we have such easy access to so much art, so much literature and music it is very rare to come across the real thing. When we do it is as if a doorway has opened to another world. It is as if older deeper desires which we have long forgotten, -obscured probably by the immediate demands of our daily toils - have been answered. It is as if the sleeping deities inside of us have been roused and for a while at least while they are awake they will keep us at the heart of things.

Fionnuala Gill has demonstrated that beyond her talent as a wonderful singer she is a master of music. "Whispers of Love" is the real thing.

Ok so here it is! True honest perfect music! Thank you Fionnuala! This CD is as the first song is titled 'Magic'. I have long awaited the next phenomenon from Ireland and I can safely say that for me Fionnuala is it. Wait until you hear her voice. Fionnuala has a gift that truly touches the soul. The Prayer, The Magic and A Mhuire Na Ngras (which she wrote herself along with Mark Armstrong) are my three favorites. If you like Celtic Woman, Enya or even Eva Cassidy you are going to love Fionnuala. Thank you for sharing your gift Fionnuala!
