The DE-1773C gives you 360-degree protection from a full range of detection signals, including X, K, Ka, and safety band radar, as well as laser and VG-2 detector detection. In addition, the DE-1773C detects the quick bursts of POP mode radar, which last less that 1/15 of a second and are undetectable by non-POP-equipped detectors.

Lightweight and compact with dimensions of just 4.65 x 2.95 x 1.45 inches, the DE-1773C can fit right by your windshield, giving you easy visual access to the digital display. But for your added convenience, the DE-1773C also comes with a Real Voice Alert that can be turned off to avoid disturbing your sleeping passengers. Since I have bought this product I have not gotten a single ticket.. It is not as advance as the V1 or escort passport in picking up lasers, but it is also less than a third of the price.
Overall a great product for the money.

I have owned for the past 2 years the 1753 Whistler. The 1773 I just purchased gives numerous false alarms, during an alarm, the unit jumps between K and KA band voice warnings, and this is in the most filtered City 2 mode. I can't say I recommend this unit. Although this model was more expensive than most others I have seen and used, it is not as good a performer.

Do not purchase this piece of whistler garbage its cheap for a reason I used it for 1 year long distance and regular city driving, I can visual see the cops before it goes off lots of false alert but very few true alerts your better off steering clear of whistler products period.
