Boy, is this a fun album! I bought it specifically for the Whistler and His Dog, one of those tunes that everyone has heard and can't identify. The rest of the album is just as much fun. This takes us back to a time when American music was optimistic and we weren't trying to be hoods in the hood. This was the time of the building of the Panama Canal and still annexing new States to the Union. Listen to the samples and see if you don't get a smile on your face from this upbeat and long-disappeared style of music. Exceptional sound quality on the CD is a bonus.

Do you want the Main Street USA music from Disneyland Resort Paris (and later also used in Disney World) in CD quality ?? Do not hesistate to buy this cd. It is released again, so the high prices are gone. Just buy it. If you're a Disney fan , this is a must have!

I'll admit I "discovered" the Orchestra only after spending a week in Disneyworld with my young children. When I got back, I decided I just *had* to have some of that music.

Five stars go to the Orchestra simply because they're one of the only (if not the only) groups actively working to keep this music alive.

But the CD deserves 5 stars on its own merit. The sound quality is excellent, and the music superb. I'm no expert on ragtime, but if you -- like me -- have acquired at lease a casual interest in the genre, do yourself a favor and grab this CD.

Mine was ordered directly from the band through Amazon, and they were gracious enough to include their newsletter and a few fliers in the package. I hope I have the opportunity to see them live at some point.
