The "Bleeding Heart Vine" (Clerodendrum thomsoniae) is an attractive bushy, tropical looking twining vine. Glossy dark green leaves are from 5 to 7 inches long (18 cm). It is hardy in zones 10 and 11 and in cooler areas should be grown outdoors in the summer and brought indoors during the winter. Prefers full sun or part-sun. This native of Africa can vine up to 6 feet and get over 2 feet wide. Keep evenly moist, but not wet or dry. Water less frequently during the winter. Feed every two weeks during the growing season with a 20-20-20 water soluble fertilizer. The plant can be pruned back in November. The exotic cream and red flowers can appear year round depending upon the amount of light the plant gets.

This vine arrived ready to bloom, so I didn't have to wait long. The flowers are absolutely beautiful and I cannot wait for it to take over my porch railing.

It arrived almost dead and dried up completely within next 4 days. Tried everything to get it to revive with no good outcome. Will never order plants online
