These classic diamond stud earrings are a timeless gift. They feature round-cut diamonds with a total carat weight of 3/4 carat. The diamonds are mounted in a four-prong setting on posts of 18k white gold for pierced ears. The posts are threaded, and the rounded backings screw on for a comfortable and secure fit. These are fine quality diamonds, with exceptional brilliance. They are near-colorless, with a minimum color rating of I, and appear white to the eye. The clarity rating of these diamonds is Sl2, meaning there are small inclusions that can be seen somewhat easily under 10x magnification. These inclusions are not visible to the unaided eye, however, and the diamonds appear clear in the mounting.
The cut, proportions, and symmetry of the diamonds--characteristics which determine their brilliance--are good to very good. Most to nearly all of the light that enters through the table, or top facet, of the diamond will reflect back out, creating the deep brightness, or brilliance, that gives diamonds their special allure. The table percentage for these diamonds, meaning the width of the table compared to the diamond’s total width, is 50.4-65.5%, and the depth percentage, or total height of the diamond compared to its total width, is 57.5-64.5%. Optimal table and depth percentages maximize a diamond’s ability to reflect and refract light, but they also require a great deal of the diamond to be cut away, leaving less carat weight. While the table and depth percentages here span a slightly broader range than those of higher quality diamonds, they still allow the diamond to handle the light beautifully, and they have the advantage of offering a beautiful balance of size and quality for the value. These essential earrings are simple enough for daytime wear, but elegant enough to accent evening attire.

The product is AMAZING. Thank you amazon.com!!! First, I am so happy the presentation. It looks amazing and without any amazon.com logos. The earrings were in a beautiful wood box, inside a cardboard box and the paper work is presented in a nice small leatherette folder. PERFECT! Next the earrings are simply AMAZING and much more than I expected. The total weight was .83cts (not the min of .70), color was g-h (not I) and the cut was as advertised good. Retail from my certified card is $3,165.

Bought these for Christmas and was extremely happy. Packaging is very professional with no Amazon markings. Similar to the other reviewer, the diamonds I received ended up larger (0.83), with better color (G-H), and slightly better clarity (SI1-SI2) than advertised. I did a fair amount of comparison shopping prior to purchase and these were the best diamonds I could get for the money. (Stores at the mall would charge >$1000).

Although these are very pretty earrings at an excellent price, I didn't fare as well as the other reviewers as far as the size of the diamonds (mine totalled .71, over the minimum of .70). Thought I would pass this along, possibly preventing disappointment to a future purchaser. Clarity was H instead of I - diamonds appear absolutely clear, particularly welcome in a white gold setting. My listed retail was $2600. Nice packaging, would make a wonderful special gift.
