Good Christmas music if you like choral music,
By Stephen M. Lerch (Elkton, MD United States) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (TOP 500 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: A White Christmas at Longwood Gardens (Audio CD)
If you like choral music, mixed with bells and light instrument accompaniment (choral is the focus here), you really can't go wrong with this set. One track in particular, the version of Rudolph, stands out. I'm not really sure what to make of it. I like the standard Rudolph song and hearing it in Latin instead of English is... odd. It's probably the weakest track on the set in my opinion, but then again, I really enjoy Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (Burl Ives renditions are my favorites). Either way, so long as enjoy choral music, you'll likely find something to enjoy on this set. The added bonus of having several tracks that don't usually get airplay or are even remembered by most, is quite nice as well. |
