I bought this pendant when it was a gold box special for my soon to be 15 year old. I was very pleased when it arrived and also quickly realized that this is a perfect piece for any age. My daughter absolutely loves it as do her friends. I think it's just the perfect size, which is indeed about the size of a dime. It has great sparkle and is perfect to wear everyday. The chain is dainty but strong and sets off the star very nicely. I wish I had bought one for myself!

Bought this on a lightning deal for $40. At .15 cttw., the diamonds are going to be very small. Duh. But it has great sparkle. Gave it to my 15-year-old niece for Christmas. She loves it.

I bought this for my wife as part of our anniversary and she loves it.

The pendant is small, and the chain is fragile, she uses another thicker chain with the pendant as she is worried about losing it

Microscopic diamonds and star was so small item is mostly for children or petite women

I ordered this on a gold box deal mostly because it was a good price. I really expected it to be small and have those tiny diamond chips sporadically set in the gold. I was so pleasantly surprised when I opened it! It has one row of individually set diamonds all around the face of the star. The diamonds are indeed small, but they are shiny. I have had cheap diamond things before and often some of the diamonds are so dark you almost think they fell out. These are uniform and not dark. They are shiny, so you know they are stones (sometimes diamonds are so dull, they look like metal.) I also thought it was just a flat pendant with some holes on the back, but it isn't. It has another layer under the diamonds that sort of lifts the pendant off of your body and lets the light get to the diamonds.

Mine arrived in a velvet box (not a bag) and my chain was not tangled at all. Maybe they changed their packaging since people were having trouble with the chain. It is thin, but I wear thin ones sometimes, so it is fine. I would rather have the price go towards the pendant itself, not the chain (since you can change those...I consider them as a freebie with purchase!) It is almost exactly the size of a dime, so if you put a dime on your neck you can get an idea of its overall diameter.

Overall, It is lovely! I anticipated that this may go to my young daughter if it was junky. But, she will have to wait for it now because Mommy is keeping it!
