it is what it is, a foam nunchaku. This doesn't feel like it will take strong hits, but its plastic core doesn't hit that hard anyway. It's only dangerous at very close range, as the impact point nears the chain swivel. My purpose for this pair is for tricks without the worry of slipping up and hitting someone hard, and this seems to do it pretty well, i can handle tricks nicely with it and most impacts just bounce off. The only reason i took a star off, is that the point where the stick is connected to the swivel/chain is kinda off angle, so if you spin the stick (not swing!) it has the effect of a car tire with need of counterweights. But then again, it's very cheap, i know that the dragon print will not last long, and this isn't the most durable foam, but at this price and purpose, it does the job well. I'd recommend it for someone wanting to learn to use speedchucks.
