this single is so amazing!, starting with the Mexican Radio and TV #1 "White Flag" and the amazing Deep Dish Remix for "Stoned" (original version on the Album "Life for rent"), and the awsome b-side "Paris", that is very cool!, and bonus the fantastic video for "White flag" directed by Joseph Kanh, who is awsome director!!!. and well is very cheep. you have to buy it!!!!! is amazing and worth it!.

The Deep Dish remix of "Stoned" ranked #2 on the Billboard Year-End Dance/Club chart for 2004. This amazing mix is probably one of the best mixes Deep Dish has ever put out. It has a great mix of a tribal beat, guitar and percussion, then breaks down at the end to just Dido's voice backed by an acoustic guitar.

I've never been a fan of Dido's regular releases (too "watered down") - I'm only a fan of her remixes. Trust me, this CD single worth the money just for the Deep Dish remix.

I'm guessing that Arista must be encouraging illegal downloading after issuing this CD single. If you are a person who just listens to his/her music on a regular home stereo/CD player, then this CD will work just fine. However, if you are a person who wants to take these tracks in full digital quality and convert them to wav or mp3 files, then do NOT buy this!

The CD will only play on the computer if you install a program which only allows you to listen to the songs in a poor 128 kbps bitrate protected Windows Media Audio file! Blah! I'm picky about sound quality, so I expected to be able to rip my own mp3's with this CD, just for 2 tracks: Stoned (Deep Dish Remix - Radio Edit) and Paris - both of which are unavailable on her album, 'Life For Rent.' That's the whole reason I bought the CD single. Now it's useless to me!!! I wanted to add the files to my iTunes playlist but can't now. My only choice is that horrible Windows Media file! When I try to play the songs on my iTunes player or on my computer, they skip horribly!

Now I'm left to download these tracks illegally so I can play them on my iTunes playlist in my desired quality! Good thinking BMG/Arista! I won't be buying another one of your copy protected singles again. Instead, I'll save my time (and money) and look for them for free! Let's hope they don't start using this technology on their full CD albums or else I might be getting all my music for free now. Smart thinking Arista!

With that said, it's good to see a CD single in stores. But at what cost? Your own personal freedom to rip and burn your own compilations and playlists.

Well after some time I decided to order this single because of the non album track Paris and for the Deep Dish remix, I have heard these songs several times in Youtube, but I was looking to have them physically.

Let me state for further customers that the single does have copy protection and its kind a difficult to get a proper rip, buts' doable.

Will not play properly on a computer unless you install the Suncomm Medimax anti-piracy software that is provided on the disc. Even then, you only get access to a DRM restricted track at a low bitrate. If you would like to listen to the cd-audio tracks in Windows XP, or extract it so you can listen to it on your portable player, open a command window (Start > Run > cmd [ENTER]) and use the following commands to disable the sbcphid driver before loading the disc:

net stop sbcphid
del %systemroot%\system32\drivers\sbcphid.sys

If you want this just to play in your car then BUY IT !! If you are like me and a HUGE dido fan and want that one song PARIS in your Ipod then DONT BUY IT as it rips in but wont play back properly. I even deleted the tune and restarted the computer and tried two other times !!! It also has media that promts to a web site and you need to download additional software to play that part.unlike a DVD that just simply "Plays". All in all the song paris isnt on her "A" list or her "B" list for that matter. Skip this one.. Want Mine ??? I dont. John S. Reynolds- Santa Barbara

I love this CD. It is a good compilation. I love the video at the end of the CD also. I thought it was a good addition to the disc.

This is the domestic release of 'White Flag' (Radio Edit) by Dido, it also has 'Stoned' (Deep Dish remix radio edit) and 'Paris'. Neat Cd single with the video of 'White Flag' for computer users. Since I usually buy 2 copies of cd singles, I really don't care about making another copy for whatever purpose, I don't think this is a big deal. I also have this on 12" vinyl single (domestic) which has the scumfrog remix. As well as the 12" version of 'Stoned' remixed by Deep Dish on side B. The Import 12" uk version has the Beginerz remix of 'White Flag' (for which I also have) I only wish AMAZON can carry vinyl as well. Dont' really care much for the import version of this cd single , when you can get this single for much less as a domestic!
