Ex-Thin Lizzy and Pink Floyd member (1990 Tour), Snowy has a perfect guitar touch. Just listen to the ballad "Bird of paradise" and you'll understand.

Melting (Little Wing) is one of my top 10 albums of all time. The albums following that one such as Restless and especially Live Flames are great, too. But, it is time for me to collect Snowy's earlier work. White Flames from 1983 gives a feeling of what is to come. Snowy has such a unique sound and this album really starts to identify where he is going. This is the album with "Bird of Paradise" which is worth the price of the album alone. I also think "The Journey, Pt 1 & 2" is great. If just starting the Snowy journey, I'd recommend Melting first and the 2009 Best Of album, but this is a solid early album.

I have been listening to the sound bites here on Amazon and it sound good, so I took a chance and bought the CD and it's really a great CD. I have played it constantly since I received it. Well worth the $$ I paid for it.

Heard a couple of the cuts on this CD on computer radio. Liked those cuts and bought the CD. If you like clean, classy guitar in arrangements that are reminicent of Pink Floyd and at times, early Fleetwood Mac, then get this CD. Of the three Snowy White CDs that I bought, this one is by far the best.

Bird of paradise, is probably one of the best songs ever by any measure.
