Thinner and daintier than photo suggests; great wedding band.,

The photo makes this ring seem large and bulky. In actuality, it is thinner and daintier than the photo suggests. The specified 3.25mm is the width of the gem settings, edge to edge. The back half of the ring is only 2mm wide.The ring is beautiful. My bride loves it. The diamonds are clear and bright. The amethysts are deep purple and can refract pinkish in bright light. Based on the photo, I was not sure that the ring would be appropriate for a wedding band, because the photo made it look as if the gems formed a series of five protruding bumps, rather than a smooth infinity band. However, in person, it did have the appearance of a smooth, continuous loop, just perfect for use as a wedding band. I purchased the white gold version, which I think is a better color combination with those gemstones, unifying the ring and creating the feeling of the continuous band. Aesthetically, I do not think that the yellow gold version would work as well, or would create that feeling of continuity.

Very small, but sweet ring. My problem is that after being worn for only 1 week an amethyst fell out. I would not recommend this ring.
