Hmmmm...,

I have read virtually all of the P&P sequels and enjoyed most of them. They are a relaxing read with familiar characters who feel like old friends at this point. There is a premise in this book which I liked having to do with Mr. and Mrs. Bennett. It's different from any interpretation I've read to date. What I find surprising in this book is the stunningly poor grammar in combination with characters' conversations separated by spacing and paragraphs for no reason. This book was apparently self published and made it to market seriously in need of an editor's guidance.
The sexual encounters, which are constant, bothered me because it made Elizabeth initially appear to have been raised in a nunnery rather than just being an innocent. Her complete lack of exposure to sexuality was not in keeping with her character as we have come to know her. It was all a little creepy and coarse actually.

I couldn't finish this one.,

Between the numerous gratuitous sex scenes (bordering on pornographic in my opinion), and the strange font changes, I found it impossible to finish this book.
Had the plot been a little more well defined, I think I could have skipped the sex scenes and continued reading. This book seemed to be a series of stories based on the theme "White Lies", rather than having a central conflict to be resolved. Perhaps it would have been better as a compilation of short stories rather than one story? That said, it is clear Ms. Cole has a vivid imagination, and I would like to see what she could do with a more defined plot and the assistance of someone more familiar with publishing.

Not at all what I expected.,

Okay, I read the blurb and thought, "Hey! This sounds like it will be a good one." Only it wasn't and I ended up feeling let down.
Some of it was funny. But a lot if it was down right stupid. Okay, I do like stupid humor on occasion, but it just doesn't seem to work in a Pride and Prejudice regency. Obviously others liked it, but I just couldn't get into it. And what is with the font thing? If the author meant for there to be a purpose for it, I didn't see it. I had to put the book down so many times because the change in fonts was giving me a headache. Also, where was the plot? Running jokes and sex scenes do not a plot make. Sure they ADD to it, but they just can't BE the plot. This one is going to the used book store. I have no need of it.

Parts of this book were very enjoyable; but parts were beyond bad, sometimes pushing on inappropriate. I like my P&P fan fictions with a little physical romance; I mean we don't live in Jane Austen times where women don't know about the marriage bed until actually married. This book tried too hard to be sexy, often making it anything but sexy. The idea of Darcy 'teaching' Elizabeth about the art of love and giving little lessons along the way was cute. But at the point of masturbation, mutual and alone, multiple times, it got to be uncomfortable. I like to think that Darcy and Elizabeth had sex with each other; not alone, thinking of one another! Also, we all know guys do masturbate, but this book says that the act is sexy; I for one, know it happens, but prefer not to think about Mr. Darcy doing it.
If you are like me and read all the P&P fan fics, then you'll read it and it's not totally worthless. But sometimes less is more! In such a short book the amount, and detail of all kinds of sex is startling, leaving little room for anything else to emerge from the story.

Wow this Book! Wow is all I can say! The Story starts off with Elizabeth faking a broken ankle, Darcy comes after her and tell her about Wickham, and this is where it goes all wrong, I could not turn the page without Darcy and Elizabeth Having Sex or talking about it in a strange manner. This was just gross. Darcy and Elizabeth having sexual intercourse!! Outside!!! Yes Lord Outside in the Open Before Being Married!!. I have No Problem with Sex scenes! at all But this Book was not true to the characters at all, Linda Berdoll Was by far the Best in Keeping the characters true and sexual moments! Do Not Buy this Book! I do not Know what this writer was thinking but she lost my respect...this book was waste of money

I was disappointed with this story. The beginning chapters looked so promising, retelling the story by changing the time when Darcy reveals the truth about Wickam. I was anticipating something using the same base characteristics of the original book and instead, got unrealistic characters and story details, splattered with the sexual whims of the author. Skip this one if you are a true lover of P&P sequels.

I forced myself to finish the drivel,

There are an astounding amount of grammatical errors in this one. And the story (stories) are plodding. A friend loaned it to me on Kindle and I am SO GLAD I didn't spend a dime on it. Darcy and Elizabeth both appear at turns simpering and unthoughtful, which are not Austen's Darcy and Lizzy. The CONSTANT error in the pronouns in every chapter is distracting. And the outrageous back-story with her parents and his parents slowed down what little of a basically erotica plot that did exist. And the author's weird jarring chapter notes and insistence to include scenes and songs French and Italian - No thanks. Don't waste your time.

This is an average P&P variation that you can read for free on a P&P fanfic site.

Beyond bad,

I bought this some time ago and finally got around to reading it. I don't want to be rude, but this was pure trash! I mean what would possess someone into writing about two of Jane Austen's most beloved characters masturbating? I was expecting some sexual situations, but NOT THAT!
To make my wasting good, hard earned money on this ill-use of good paper worse is my friend told me the story is available online for FREE! I wasted $20 when I didn't need to AND was grossed out by poorly written porn! Don't waste your money! If you like to read this type of junk, just search it out on the Internet and read it for free. And if you're truly desperate, I'll just give you my copy!
