Oh my God!! This book was SO good!! It is a book that once you start reading, you just can't put it down. I have read this book twice, but hadn't had the chance to write a review. Jada and Born's story is a classic. Their story had me on a rollercoaster, and there were parts that had me crying. It was amazing to see the things that Jada endured...from her mother never...

The book was to long and drawn out...it was good but not great...I wouldn't classify it as a must read...I still can't figure out which part of the book was the plot...but it was just an ok read...

Oh my God!! This book was SO good!! It is a book that once you start reading, you just can't put it down. I have read this book twice, but hadn't had the chance to write a review. Jada and Born's story is a classic. Their story had me on a rollercoaster, and there were parts that had me crying. It was amazing to see the things that Jada endured...from her mother never standing for her, to her addiction to the drugs, she finally got it together when she met Born, but ended up slipping once again. It was so sad because Born really loved her. I was just glad to see her get her act together in the end. I really loved Born's character, although he left Jada in the time that she needed him the most. It was a great story but I wonder what really happens with Born and Jada, I hope sometime in the future there will be a sequel to this. This book had now become one of my favorites. You must add this to you collection!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Book I've Read in a While, January 3, 2012
This review is from: White Lines (Kindle Edition)
I loved this book. I'm used to the "hustlas wife" pop bottles type of books, but White Lines takes you on the other side of the glitz and glam. I loved the characters. I laughed and cried long with Jada and Sunny and had a love/hate relationship with Born and Dorrian. White Lines is close to 500 pages so its well worth the 9.99 kindle price. This was my first read from this author, but i was so impressed I've preordered White Lines 2.

WHITE LINES was an EXCELLENT READ. one of the longest books I've ever read, but never a DULL moment. Although it took me 4 days to read, it held my attention from the first, to the very last page. JADA had many OBSTACLES in her life, but was very STRONG. I LOVED JADA and BORN'S relationship, definitely an UNFORGETTABLE LOVE STORY. TRACY BROWN is an AMAZING AUTHOR. EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT.

Tracy Brown breaths life into her characters like no other author I've ever had the pleasure of reading. And I've read thousands of books in my life. You Know These People! You Laugh & Cry With These People! You Despair & Celebrate WIth These People! This book is a masterpiece of the good & bad of street life. Simply remarkable! Cant wait Tracy's next hit!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Read, November 28, 2011
This review is from: White Lines (Paperback)
I bought the book based on the description provided & I wasn't disappointed!! I found myself emotional reading this book and my heart felt for Jada & Born. I found myself talking to the characters, like a nutcase, and pleading with Jada to get right and for Born to stick it out with her. Overall, the book was well written and had an amazing storyline. I'm glad the author didn't try and drag this one out. There was so much going on already, but she was able to hold it all together & it flowed.

5.0 out of 5 stars I was strung out...on White Lines, November 22, 2011

I am a fan of all of Tracey Brown's writings, but in my opinion White Lines is her best work so far. The details that she gives take you down to dirtiest and grimiest feelings, up to the highest and happiest. You are immediately on a rollercoaster with the characters and the chapters can't go by fast enough. By the time I got to the middle, I couldn't wait for the end because I just HAD to know the way things turned out. This novel takes you through the ins and outs of being in the life of someone with this drug addiction. It was so good, I'm scared to even be around people that smoke cigarettes for fear of getting addicted to that. I can't wait to get the 2nd part in April. Thank you!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Job Ms. Brown!, November 16, 2011
This review is from: White Lines (Kindle Edition)
I enjoyed this book. It reminded me of "The Coldest Winter Ever" and I hadn't read that particular book in over ten years. Very few books stand out in my mind like that. I have referred "...Coldest" and now "White Lines" to friends. There were times where certain paragraphs were redundant, but I figured that maybe the author is fairly new at this and was just really trying to get a particular point across. I'm guessing that with practice and careful editing, that issue will be resolved. In spite of that, I think it was an excellent read, and even though it was long, I finished it in a couple of days. I seriously could not put it down. I will definitely be picking up White Lines II (Sunny's story). Great Job Tracy. Keep 'em coming!
