The product looked great, but was broken in two large pieces. Without going into great detail, the packaging of this board is inadequate, and that is what caused the breakage. We wanted to replace it, but this vendor only allows return credit. Oh well! Live and learn.

I didn't know how to rate, because it arrived broken in half. I was happy with the return policy. So I returned it free from shipping charges. I must check to see that I was given the credit. If so, then I can say I'm totally satisfied with the whole thing.

The first impression upon removing this board from the shipping container is just how solid/heavy this chunk of marble is,yes the shipping weight is provided in the spec's. The weight is fairly important as it give the Board greater stability. The top surface is polished and made the rolling and forming of a sticky dough pretty easy, it was also very useful as the surface was cool enough when tempering chocolate to make this also easy.

The pastry board arrived in many mini pieces. It was not marked fragile (except on the inside) and there was no meaningful protection whatsoever. Under the circumstances, I'm amazed that any of them could survive the shipping process. It was a beautiful board, but I'll be looking locally next time.

this is not a pastry board...... it is just a piece of junk that arrived chipped and scratched, it gets stained right away if you actually use it and keeps getting scratched with minimal use...... on top of all this, it costed me 200 $ to get it.
